Stan Jones Mar 22, 2012 7:54 PM (in response to Reese Richardson)I agree, it should work!
What method are you using? Adding each title manually? Importing a script?
You might post a screenshot of the timeline.

Reese Richardson Mar 22, 2012 8:32 PM (in response to Stan Jones)First of all thank you I had this big explanation all spelled out on word
and it won't let you paste it over to the forum.
I added subtitles directly in Encore I've been trying to import but haven't
found any format that will work, always says error or something.
But it seen odd that it shows up the subtitles are on there's text there and
it will show on the monitor but when going into the test play area of Encore
they don't show when entering a chapter marker section where they have been
put.
I hope this is something to go on doesn't seem there should be anything to
this put them there they should be there.

Stan Jones Mar 22, 2012 9:36 PM (in response to Reese Richardson)Click preview, and select the timeline. There is a "toggle subtitle" icon in the lower right.
Import does work, and they are just text files, but you must get the formatting exactly right.

7. Re: Subtitles Encore CS4
Stan Jones Mar 23, 2012 7:50 PM (in response to Reese Richardson)Two issues: subtitles are made to be on or off, and a user can turn them on or off with their remote. You can turn them on by default, but a user can turn them off - I don't know if a player can be set to ignore a "default on."
Second, media player is not a good test of how a player will work. Do you see an option for media player to turn on subtitles?

Reese Richardson Mar 23, 2012 8:20 PM (in response to Stan Jones)Ok understood what I'm going to do in this case is use PhotoShop to add the
text I want in the movie in Premiere Pro thus the video will have it
regardless which is what I want to do.
I try to keep myself off of these forums basically because I hate looking
stupid did not know that about subtitles.
You're the guy that comes to my rescue Thank you again have a great weekend.
