try opening up one of your auto-saves and see where the file is.
If I understood your problem correctly, you have deleted audio from the timeline but it is still present in the project window?
If you have used the clip only once and haven't trimmed it, doubleclicking the movie in the project window opens it in the source window with proper in point.
Then you can drag the audio back to timeline.
If you have used the same movie two times or more then double click your video clip on the timeline and it opens in the source window.
Click the "Go to In" button and you can see the correct source timecode.
