Ok all you guru's out there I have used the warp stabilizer before in After Effects CS5.5. But for a while now I have been trying to get it to work again but all i get is "timed out obtaining dynamiclink server project". I have rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled after effects and removed preferences, and I have uninstalled the entire suite and reinstalled it, but no dice. I have been looking around the web for a fix and none of the people that have my issue have had their problem answered. I would really appreciate some help in getting this problem fixed, it seems like such a crazy thing to be happening.
Start here: http://blogs.adobe.com/toddkopriva/2011/02/troubleshooting-quicktime-errors-with-after-eff ects.html (the blocked TCP stuff). Additionally, verify that you have enough temporary disk space in your user temp folder, the AE media cache and possibly the other AE disk cache... And of course check your multiprocessing settings just in case you are exhausting all your memory...
First thing, warp stabilizer does not like highly compressed footage. Second thing is that your shot just may be too long for the system resources you have. Third possibility, there's too much motion and motion blur in the shot and not enough detail for the stabilizer to work.
Whenever I have had problems with warp stabilizer in the past, it's been because of the shot and not anything on my system. What your shot up on YouTube and I'll take a look.
