Can anyone out there help me on this? I have pulled my hair out for a week. Has no one heard of this? Am I losing my mind?
Maybe the screen-element you're using the PNG in has some alpha below 100%, ie.e it is partly transparent. That would let your image appear to be washed out/faded.
As far as I know and experienced, the tryout of Flex Builder does not do anything with image quality.
Thanks for the thoughts. I felt the same way about Flex Builder reducing the quality, but hey I an empty shel here. Got to think of everything.
What do you mean by screen-element?
If this helps anyone help me alot of the backgrounds are displayed by using Degrafa
But I don't think this library is doing it either.
Oh the insanity???
You may be using a non-sRGB color space in your original image. If so, you need to use Photoshop to convert the color space to sRGB before using it in apps like browsers that don't grok color spaces. (Not "assign profile"..that won't help.)
Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into this. I will post results soon.
Just seen this.
I have no idea what it means but, the picks of the gradients on the bottom of the page are a perfect example of what happens to my images. Fades like the first gradient.
I'm thinking it has something to do with Degrafa now?
