Have you tried clearing Bridge's preferences by pressing and holding Control - Shift - Alt while starting Bridge?
Be aware you'll need to re-setup all your preferences.
I tried, but that didn't fix the problem. It's totally weird. Bridge crashes only on desktop. Have purged cache. Still crashes. Did nothing different than what I always do.
I had the exact same problem--over and over but on a Mac, running Yosemite. I could not clear the cache through the option provided in Bridge preferences. I tried the suggestion from Noel above- holding down shift control option while starting Bridge and it worked -- I was offered the option of either clearing the cache or resetting Preferences. I chose the former and it worked right away. Thanks Noel!
