c.pfaffenbichler Mar 25, 2012 6:10 AM (in response to q38)Thank you so very much for including the ability to stroke a non-closed bezier path.
Where do you set that?
In my test the stroke conforms to the Path as if it were closed.
Edit: Forget it, it probably was a mistake on my part and works now.
And it seems terribly counterintuitive to me to have to set the Tool to »Shape« to be able to edit the Stroke when a Vector Mask is already selected.

q38 Mar 25, 2012 6:42 AM (in response to c.pfaffenbichler)It must be set to shape, and only one line per layer. As soon as you try to add another line or merge layers, they ALL get completed. I hope they do not consider an open line a "bug" that they will "fix", still the inclusion of Caps is an indication they may be allowing this now.

I agree, I’ve bee wanting an interactive open Path-Stroke for a while.

Pity that, I would prefer to be able to keep several stroked open Paths in one Vector Mask.

M Shaw Mar 26, 2012 11:19 AM (in response to q38)Do you have the Align Edges option enabled? When it works to clean up the edges, it can change the position of the rendered pixels to try to get them to align to the grid as best it can.

q38 Mar 26, 2012 8:05 PM (in response to M Shaw)Thank you M Shaw, that was the solution. When you want edges precisely aligned to your drawing, turn off "Align Edges" to the pixel grid. But be careful, pixel alignment is useful for vertical and horizontal lines, but for angled lines making the end points match just misaligns elsewhere along the line, but the whole line gets moved anyway. You can turn align on and off for each layer (and only one line per layer!), so you can choose manually to apply it only to vertical and horizontal lines. This is very useful when you downscale a vector drawing, some font renderings use this alignment.
