    Usability: Interface Sliders Units/Mouse Sensitivity

      Hi all,

I found a bit annoying not to be able to manage the sensitivity of slider when doing a mouse-drag over the label of a propriety.

I always have to carefully fiddle with the mouse in order to get the exact value, losing precious seconds while working.

The ideal situation would be to use the entire screen as a virtual slider to control the values.

      Current behavior:

When the mouse is dragged by 1 pixel (on screen) the value affected increases by 1 unit.

I'm aware that this ratio also can be affected by using ALT+mousedrag or CTRL+mouse drag to subdivide or multiply the units by 10.

That said, this is not what I'm talking about. I would like the ability to modify the distance the distance the mouse needs to do to affect the units.

      Suggested behavior

Allow the mouse to be dragged, for example, by 10 pixel (on screen) to affect the value by 1 unit.

This value should be controlled in the preferences of user interface. Keeping the CTRL and ALT+mouse drag still usable.

Another option would be that the slider

I'm I the only one frustrated by this?

This behavior was also found in CS5 but I'm not sure it was in CS4, anyway, I think would be greatly improve the usability of the interface.

If Adobe is listening, good job on this new release. Nice to see some major improvements.

      Cheers.
