I'm running animations that have timeline and dynamic scripted elements as full screen air movies. I'm finding that between 24-72 hours the air application starts to freeze or slow down massively. It seems that the frame rate gradually drops until the screen appears frozen. Normally even if i manage to quit the application after this point the computer is unusable until i restart.
I'm running the application on a Mac Mini. I've tried 3 or 4 different mac minis with similar results. I'm running it on Lion (10.7)
I've also tried to find memory leaks with performance monitors (https://github.com/mrdoob/Hi-ReS-Stats and http://www.emanueleferonato.com/2011/09/01/moviemonitor-an-as3-performance-monitor-with-10 -1-features/)
The memory seems pretty constant (peaking at around 18MB, average 10MB), the number of children isn't ever increasing either, so I seem to be removing them properly when i'm done.
Any idea on this?
My first thought would have been memory, but your's seems stable and very low. Any chance you could open a new bug on this over at bugbase.adobe.com? We'd like to try your app out and see if we can reproduce this internally.
