When using Premiere Pro, my iMac lost all audio several times in a row. The action that kept causing this malfunction was pulling audio from the Source Moniter into my timeline. The audio clip is a .wav file and is mono, if those details help. The only thing that brings my audio back is restarting the computer. I've gone into my sys prefs for audio and nothing there helps. What could be causing this?
Could be problematic clip.
Try with a different wav file and see if you can reproduce the issue.
Also test issue with the same wave file in a new project.
I tried with another .wav file and the issue did not repeat itself. I also tried again with the same file and it also did not happen again. Is something so weird like that possibly a fluke? It still worries me...what are the chances of that happening again, and what could possibly lead to the entire audion hardware to disfunction on an iMac based simply on an a possibly corrupted .wav file?
