Player runs slow at latter points

So I am editing my movie together and when you open Premiere, it allways seems that it has to load the video and audio before I can start working.  The weird thing is that I can start going through my project, but as soon as I get to about say 26 minutes, the player starts running really slow and choppy.  If I go to anywhere more near the beginning it will play perfect even on full resolution.  (The project consists of 2 video tracks, one for titles, one for the video, which is AVC 1080p.  There are six audio tracks ehich make up the 5.1 surround sound mix.  Premiere has 6.5 gb of ram available according to the preferences dialog box.)

What are the full specs. of your computer, and especially the CPU and also the installed RAM, and the I/O sub-system, i.e. your HDD's, their size, speed, controller type, and how you have them allocated? This FAQ Entry will tell you what would be so very useful.

Besides those AVCHD Clips, what are your other Video Assets?

          Are the Audio Clips WAV?

Good luck, and please let us know a bit more.
