How does one create a shortcut on the desktop for ExportPDF?
Also, I can't delete a photograph from a former PDF file I want to convert to WORD. Otherwise I can edit the file fine. What gives?

To create a desktop shortcut to the ExportPDF service:
Once your shortcut is made, double-click it. The ExportPDF site will launch in your default browser. Click 'Sign in' at the top right corner. When you sign in, if you check the 'Remember Me' checkbox, when you open that shortcut in the future, it will take you right into the service.
Regarding your second question--are you trying to delete the photograph within the PDF file or after you've converted it to Word? If you're having trouble deleting it within Word, try choosing Edit > Select All to see if you can get that object to highlight. It may be on a lower layer.
If you're trying to edit the PDF file, you can't do so in Adobe Reader, you'd need Adobe Acrobat.
