MDenver Apr 1, 2012 7:19 PM (in response to lasvideo)Looks interesting, but is it written for CS5.x? The last thing I want is pulling my hair out, because of a version difference. Thanks.

MDenver Apr 1, 2012 8:13 PM (in response to lasvideo)So it's for CS5.x, it's getting excellent reviews and a quick look at the index of the book also impressed me, plus it comes with video tutorials, reference sheets and guides. now we're finally talking quality.
Thanks, you've been a great help!

MDenver Apr 1, 2012 10:25 PM (in response to John T Smith)John T Smith, I appreciate your kind suggestion, but that reminds me a lot of me in the past trying to find the proper documentation for Linux issues and that drove me nuts too, it's a very ineffective way of learning a program like Premiere...in my opinion.

shooternz Apr 1, 2012 11:02 PM (in response to MDenver)John T Smith certainly showed you that there definitely is no lack of "tutorials/documentation".
What level of editor are you and maybe someone can direct you to something specific.

Todd_Kopriva Apr 1, 2012 11:42 PM (in response to MDenver)> I can't for example discover in their course outlines where something substantial as masking is explained.
That's probably because there is no masking in Premiere Pro. That's a feature for a compositor (like After Effects), not an NLE (like Premiere Pro).
There are a lot of resources linked to from here for learning Premiere Pro:
