1. Re: Crop tool Classice Mode
Noel Carboni Apr 3, 2012 10:17 AM (in response to jecphoto)I hear you. The setting should be sticking for you, so that's a problem - though it may be a problem on your own system. I see all the settings stay set. Try this:
With no document open, choose the Crop tool.
Click the gear and make the settings you want.
Choose Window - Workspace - New Workspace, and name it something you like (I call mine Noels).
Now Quit Photoshop
Do you see your settings stick now, next time you open Photoshop?
By the way, try the new Crop Tool (without Classic Mode) but with one setting change: Turn off the [ ] Auto Center Preview setting. The always present outer border takes a little getting used to, but the thing will operate in a very expected manner otherwise.

2. Re: Crop tool Classice Mode
Pete.Green Apr 3, 2012 11:01 AM (in response to Noel Carboni)Yes,
It should stay sticky.
Try creating a workspace if you'd like, but the setting should really be saving as part of your preferences.
If it is not, meaning,
- You've clicked Use Classic mode for the crop tool
- then Quit Photoshop
- Relaunched it
- Use Classic mode is not checked?
If this is the case, then I'd suggest resetting the preferences/settings file by:
- launching Photoshop
- immediately after the doubleclick to launch, hold CMD+Option+Shift (or Ctrl+Alt+Shift for Windows)
- click Yes to reset the settings file.

jecphoto Apr 3, 2012 11:38 AM (in response to Pete.Green)It is working now that I have closed and reopened Photoshop. It was not working between images before I did the shut-down. Thank you for your help.
