    Premier Elements 9 Trouble Shooting!

when I capture dvd footage it doesn't play back properly in Adobe Premier elements and somethimes there is no sound, but the mpeg file of the footage plays fine. Why is this? Any ideas please. Chris

Well, technically don't capture DVD footage. You import it into a project or rip it from a DVD disc.

Ideally, you should create a project using the Hard Disk Camcorder project settings (standard definition), then you should place the DVD in your computer's DVD drive and then use Get Media/From DVD Camcorder or PC DVD Drive to browse to the drive and rip the files into our project.

Once the video is in your project, you must wait for it to fully conform before you begin editing.

Are these the steps you took? If not, what steps did you take to get the media from the disc into your project?
