Some other infos:
- I have a valid ssl certificate
- url passed to filereference has https in it
- I've tested with latest FP and on IE, FF, Chrome and Safari.
After various tests It looks like it works on different Windows 7 machines but it fails on different Windows XP machines.
Have you tried hitting the secure web site from the browser on one of the machines that failed? I fought a similar issue for a while, and it turned out to be a problem with the revocation checking of the SSL certificate. I had to turn off revocation checking on the affected browser/machine combinations.
I created a test.html and inserted in the same folder and I can view it from the browser.
Any other suggestion? :|
Did you get any errors or warnings in the browser about the certificate? If you did, then flex/flash won't let you access that site. Also, is this a flex app running in a browser, or an AIR application?

I got stuck on this kind of issue for a long time : all upload working fine except using IE using flash and https.
In fact the issue was strangly on server side, I was using commons-fileupload from apache to handle my upload java side. It was in version 1.2. Switching to 1.3 has fix my issue. It has a bug reading the file size.
