I have Illustrator files placed in InDesign. When I make changes to the Illustrator files and save them, I am prompted to update links in InDesign. When I do this (either by clicking the update button, chosing update all links in the links drop down, or choosing to relink the file), sometimes not all changes made in Illustrator are showing up in InDesign. This is happening most consistently when toggling visibility of a placed .tif in the Illustrator file. If I toggle visibility on or off in Illustrator, then save in Illustrator and update in InDesign, the visibility of that image is not changed in the InDesign file. Any ideas on why the changes are not showing in InDesign?
Cool. That's a good workaround for temporary visibility changes to the Illustrator object. But what if I want the change to be reflected in the Illustrator document? Also, I am still (though less frequently) having issues with changes made in the Illustrator file (such as added lines) not showing up in InDesign after an update.
