    Can someone please help me?

Hello all, I have been running the free version of flash player for months on Linux with no problems, but recently it stopped playing online videos. Although I reinstalled it through the terminal, it still does not work.... Also, I am not sure if it even installed properly here is a screen shot of what I did through the terminal(you may have to click on it to see it in full) Btw I erased the original "CPU" username from the terminal. So don't be alarmed if you don't see it in the terminal.

Can someone please tell me how I can fix this problem!

i believe that command is for the older flash 9 plugin.  first you'll want to remove it entirely.  run the package manager and uninstall all other instances of the player as well.

          sudo apt-get erase flashplugin-nonfree

          then try the following

          sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin

note: i always prefer to use the tar.gz and copy over the libflashplayer.so binary to ~/.mozilla/plugins

          hope that helps...
