    convert the player's version from 6 to 7

      Hi,

      Check the file... flash8_player6_ac2.zip
      it's saved in flash 8 and in publish setting, the player version is chosed as V6 and actionScript V2.

      It's working fine with this setting but I need to change the player version from 6 to 7. When I do that, the slideshow stops functioning :(

      I really don't have any idea how to convert it without ruining the movie.

      Any idea?!!! Your help will be highly appriciated.

      Regards,
      Hadi

          the problem's inside Sprite 262: in the actionscript on sprite 261(instance name pics). phew! you're using the variable x inside your onClipEvent (enterFrame) without initialising it first. in your onClipEvent (load) add the line x=0;

          lots of other comments i could make on your code - eg avoid x as a variable name as i believe it's a reserved word, try to avoid placing script on symbols or inside symbols as it makes it hard to debug/find, but anyway it should be working now.

            Thanks man, it's fixed now :) I used to post my problems in other forums but never got any answer on them. This was my first post here and I'm happy to be here :)
