    Indesign CS3 won't print black

    L Welch Level 1

ON my HP5000, WordPad or anything else prints black, Indesign prints about a 92-94% screen black...

      what have I done wrong?

I'm guessing you meant the LaserJet, not the DesignJet plotter...

In your preferences, go to the Appearance of Black tab and set Printing/Exporting to Output All Balcks as Rich Black.

Your printer is monchrome, and ID reserves 100" K output for the darkest blacks, which are four-color mixes and simulates the slightly lighter appearance of 100%K only blacks by screening the output when you have set print all blacks accurately on a non-postscript device or are printing to PDF.
