    Bizarre page behaviour!

    Dave Black Community Member

BC is injecting an extra header into editted and re-uploaded pages.

The problem seems to disappear when I opt not to use a template.

A very strange problem with an even stranger fix! Is anybody else experiencing the same?

I should also mention that I was earlier locked out of the system (this one's a long story but is sort of ressolved now).

          Hi Dave,

If you make a page with no template there is the basic html which is added into that page. If you click the HTML tag at the bottom of the editor you can see that. Then if you select a template it still has that HTML in the editor code which can cause probems.
If you find this to be the case you can go to the html tab for the editor of the page and remove that body/header html.

Not the problem at all- what makes it really bizarre is that I can see the effects under BC design view or on a browser!

BC html view is not displaying any irregularity!

I also can not see the problem via Dreamweaver. It is literally only affecting newly edited pages.

              Here's another discovery!

I seemingly cannot upload my templates- but the result is that the code in copy online gets wiped! The only thing left there

              is the standard {tag_pagecontent}!

I have also noticed that the online file extension is 'html' and not 'dwt'.

I have created a new Test-Site and re-created the conditions but everything seems to work!

This test isn't exhaustive but at this point I can only asume that it is just my old sites that are affected!

                  Hi Dave,

That does sound weird. can you please check your FTP details for that old site, under the site settings in DW, and make sure that the username has /dw at the end of it?

                  Cheers,
