    got 32-bit windows and lack memory?

      have you even gotten the "out of virtual memory" error?  on a 32-bit system?

      there is a technique here which will get you beyond that.

      even if you don't know how to do any of this other stuff, just setting the virtual memory on the partition you have will provide about 7-8GB of total memory. 

      the Adobe apps gobble it up, especially Premiere Pro.

      I am up to 11GB now, on a 32-bit system.

       

      as Chris Cox said, 32-bit apps can only use up to 4GiB of RAM.  this is due to 32-bit data types and pointers.
