Sidney Mitchell Apr 18, 2012 10:22 AM (in response to SplashDeveloper)Hi SplashDeveloper!
I'm afraid not to my knowledge within BC however I'll keep this thread/conversation open to the community to discuss if there are any possible suggestions.

mario_gudelj Apr 18, 2012 4:19 PM (in response to Sidney Mitchell)If you're browser isn't caching your site that's a browser problem. All sites are cachable on BC. Here's an example of businesscatalyst.com:
You can see there that 90% of assets came from browser cache.
If your site isn't loading fast enough please supply the URL and we'll investigate this for you.
Cheers,

SplashDeveloper Apr 19, 2012 6:44 AM (in response to mario_gudelj)It's not for just one particular site....when we run the Google speed analytics the we always get in trouble for no browser cache. Here's a picture of one of our sites http://screencast.com/t/0fU3xOaxZV

mario_gudelj Apr 19, 2012 4:06 PM (in response to SplashDeveloper)I think I've lost you there... Are you referring to change frequency setting in the sitemap.xml by any chance? An example of it would be this http://joidesign.com/sitemap.xml. Every site on BC has one that's generated automatically for you. For most assets BC sets it to Daily. e.g <changefreq>daily</changefreq>
Is that it?

mario_gudelj Nov 5, 2012 2:35 PM (in response to ramophalatsi)Hi Ramo,
Browser will cache images out of the box. There's no way to utilise sitemap.xml for that purpose.

ramophalatsi Jan 7, 2013 5:53 AM (in response to mario_gudelj)Thanks Mario,
But it does not look like this is happening on our site (www.spitz.co.za) When we run the Google webtools, it says the speed of the site can be increased by using browser caching.
Please can you advise?
Ramo

Liam Dilley Jan 7, 2013 4:15 PM (in response to ramophalatsi)A lot of people miss read the general info from google on this. They will always tell you the same things even if it is optimized to hell. Guidelines and advise for the most part

annaplt922 Sep 30, 2014 11:42 AM (in response to SplashDeveloper)Hello,
I am having the same issue with caching as well as other web issues according to google's PageSpeed Insights:
- Leverage browser caching
- Optimize images
- Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
My site is www.signgeek.com. This is the link showing my PageSpeed results. https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=en&utm_source=wmx&utm_campaign= wmx_otherlinks&url=http%3A%2F%…
My site is published through BC. The domain named was purchased through GoDaddy.
I understand that I may need to re-size some of my pngs for the "Optimize images" issue. However, how do I resolve these other issues?
Thanks,
Anna
