I don't do panoramas, but two options come to mind:
a) leave originals alone and apply adjustments to the stitched panoarama.
b) use PV2010

I guess I didn't realize the implication of adaptive sliders. I use the "Match Total Exposures" in Lightroom, then I auto-sync my adjustments. I haven't noticed a lot of problems with my panoramas. Here is one that I did with Lightroom 4.1 RC and Photoshop CS 5. It isn't a great image, I know. Four vertical-oriented images done the way I have described. I thought it went together fairly well. I'm practicing for my trip to the Grand Tetons this summer.
