Right click a clip in the project panel and choose 'New Sequence from Clip' (CS5.5) or drag the clip to the New Sequence icon (CS5) at the bottom of the project panel.
OK. Technically speaking, CS5 doesn't have Project settings that match the footage, it has Sequence settings that match. The last version of Pr where you had to set the Project to match was CS3, which is why I asked.
You have a couple of options:
- Make sure Pr is interpreting your footage correctly (File | Interpret Footage I think it was still for CS5 -- in CS5.5 it's File | Modify | Interpret Footage). Drag the footage to the New Item icon at the bottom of the Project Panel. Or...
- Open the New Sequence dialog and set up a custom sequence with 50 fps. Use the 1920x1080p 25 preset as the basis, and then change the frame rate under the Custom (CS5=General?) tab.
thaks for all the help. I I created a customer sequence with 50 FPS. I couldnt find the setting to start with, it still seemed to be limited to 25 / 30, but when I changed it to "Desktop" I was able to manually set it up..
Many thanks for all your help, think this will be a long road as I learn how to use it......
