So you opt for the Creative Cloud Membership subscription option.
In two or four years you want to open a Permiere Pro CS6 project and change it. If you didn't have only the cloud option, but had the perpetual license, you could just open it with the version it was created with. But what if CS8 is now the current version? You are still on the cloud option and don't have CS6. Will you be able to open the project?
We're always backwards compatible - the cloud is irrelevant here, it doesn't matter where the project is stored. When we encounter an old project file, you'll be prompted to convert the project to a new CS7/8/9 version, just as you get now when attempting to open pre-CS6 projects.
Cheers

I wasn't aware of that.
Thank you.
