I have been running Acrobat Pro 10.1.2 for some time. Recently I am repeatedly offered updates which, after a considerable time, fail. The message indicates that the update cannot be applied because it has been updated by other means. I then discover that the PDF printer has been dropped from the system. "Repair Acrobat Installation" restores the printer but requires a re-boot and a lot of nuisance. Any ideas on what caused the problem and how to get the installed software and the updates back in synch?

Provide the exact error code you are getting. You can also manually download the update and try to install.
