In fact, if you don't your video won't function properly. This was mentioned in LR's releae notes: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2012/03/lightroom-4-0-now-available.html

I previously installed LR4 Beta, LR4 Trial, and LR4.1 RC and NIS never discovered any threats.
I 'Restored & Excluded' these files for future recognition by NIS and LR4.1 RC2 launches and is playing video. Tally-Ho!
