1. Re: LR4 vs LR4.1 RC2
Kempshott Apr 28, 2012 7:19 AM (in response to quenton8)Same for me. No probems with 3.6, 4.0 or 4.1 RC1, but RC2 is almost unuseable.

Stuart_001 Apr 28, 2012 8:04 AM (in response to Kempshott)Sorry I can't be of any real help, but I have found the opposite to be true. LR 4 was slower--the new release RC2 is much more precise and faster both on sliders and changing modules. (Win7 64 bit Ultimate; 8GB RAM; i5 M480)

serenity2012 Apr 28, 2012 10:47 AM (in response to Stuart_001)RC2 is faster but for some reason all my colors seem less saturated than my LR4.. i uninstalled RC2 and colors were back.. weird.

dorin_nicolaescu Apr 29, 2012 11:31 PM (in response to serenity2012)No, I can only see it on the second monitor.
Are you sure? Can you post a screenshot of both RC1 and RC2 with the same
picture and same adjustments? If this is indeed the case, that's a serious
problem.

walterono Apr 30, 2012 10:40 AM (in response to quenton8)Same for me (Win 7 64-bit, 8GB RAM, Quad Q8400). I was OK with the original release. RC 1 added switching off sharpening when moving the sliders, which was annoying, but they were still responsive. With RC2 sharpening is no longer turned off, but there is now a definite lag when moving the sliders. I've gone back to RC1. Things are going backwards for me.

NadavHavakook Apr 30, 2012 8:14 PM (in response to quenton8)LR4 RC2 is very slow!
Guys please, we know its beta, please do not force us buying new computers by putting code on code, fix the code. My camera didnt change, and LR3.6 was working fine with the same files.
There's is definitely a memory leak too.
Using Free Memory app on Mac and I see how it behaves different on my computer. I am on LR since version one.

Kempshott May 7, 2012 5:41 AM (in response to Kempshott)I've just upgraded my CPU from a 2-core E6420 to a quad-core Q6600 (more L2 cache too) and RC2 is MUCH better.
