I am having an issue with Premiere crashing whenever I attempt to open a previously created project. I can open a new project, edit, export, save, etc, but if I try to re-open that project it attempts to load the project and then gives me the error "Premiere has encountered an error and needs to close." I can go to our other computers on our network and the same projects open right up just fine.
This issue started last week when we created a new user account and switched from the user sccount being open directory on a mac to an active directory on a PC(I may have those terms swapped). I have uninstalled CS5 Master collection and the re-installed it, and did all of the latest updates, but I am still having the issue. Does anyone have any advice? Below are some specs on my machine incase it helps. THANKS
Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro3,1
Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz
Number Of Processors: 2
Total Number Of Cores: 8
L2 Cache (per processor): 12 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Bus Speed: 1.6 GHz
Import old project in CS6 instead of opening with CS6.
Ann, THANKS for replying!
If I open a brand new project, which I could do before, and then IMPORT a previous project, it works and I can edit and export the project. However, it did crash upon trying to save it and I still can not just open a previously created project. When I do I get an error message that Says: "Premiere has encountered an error and needs to close down. We will attempt to save your project."
Do you or anyone else have any ideas?
