c.pfaffenbichler May 2, 2012 7:56 AM (in response to chazzcron)Dang, had not noticed yet …
I agree that the old behaviour should be optional.
You may want to post a Feature Request over at

4. Re: CS6 paths behavior changed
c.pfaffenbichler May 2, 2012 8:01 AM (in response to chazzcron)Sorry, I had not researched the issue thoroughly enough, it had been addressed in the CS6 beta-Forum.
So the behaviour can be set in the Options Bar for the Path Selection Tool, it’s just not the default behaviour anymore, it seems.

chazzcron May 2, 2012 8:08 AM (in response to c.pfaffenbichler)Better still, pfaff.
Never in a million years would have found that. Been using PS since the beginning and have NEVER ONCE selected the Direct Select tool. (Cmd key user) Never selected the zoom tool either (CMD Space)
Maybe it would be helpful to also put that check box in the pen tool options bar.
Better yet, make the radio check box say "use shift key to constrain" so I can enjoy either option without having to go to the direct select tool.

6. Re: CS6 paths behavior changed
Naitsirc Anat May 25, 2012 5:36 PM (in response to chazzcron)Im very happy with alla that adobe has don with this version, but not only that has changed. Lets say that im drawing a path with the pen tool and I get it wrong putting the last segnment and
and press Ctrl+Z to Undo, the path breaks and you have to go back and click on the last point again to keep drawing.....Thats getting me nuts, its frustrating...!!!! Please tell me thats a bug or that
is an option that can be changed...!!!
Another thing that im experimenting is that the intuos3 in illustrator 6 the selection even with the double click on the side of the pencil is getting stuck for a brief moment when i stop pressing the pen in the tablet surface.
