I recently transitioned to Lion from Snow Leopard, and had to discover that Premiere Pro 'features' the dreaded Automatic Termination. This means that each time I close a project, Premiere automatically shuts down. So, switching from a project to another means having to wait for Premiere to reload, unless you remember to open a project before closing another one. This seems really mad to me.
Is there a way to disable this 'feature'? Unfortunately, I cannot see anything among the Preferences.
Maybe this is a Mac only thing, but PP has never shut down for me simply by closing a project. (File>Close Project)
And it's never been able to open more than one project at a time.
It might be a Mac-only thing, and specifically a Lion-only one.
Premiere cannot keep more than a single project open at a time, but if you open another project, and the current one is automatically closed, Premiere does not quit.
