When I have a PSD file, and try to save it, It will now let me save it as an JPG, CS5 did. Even after flattening the image, I often find it does not work instead of saving it as JGP as wanted, it PS changes it to IMG.
I have just had the same trouble trying to save to PDF, PS changed the extension to JPF, I eventually found a work around, jut kept ging down the list of files, until PS decided to add the PDF extension I was after.
I have tried to completly remove CS6 and re install it, no difference.
Has anybody else had the same problem?
You probably have a color bit depth issue that is preventing saving to JPG.
Actually, if you're seeing problems with extension / file type mixup, chances are very good that you've managed to tie-in some plug-ins from an earlier version of Photoshop.
Thou shalt not mix plug-ins from different versions of the product.
Either you copied the plug-ins tree from an older version, or you've defined an Extra Plug-ins Folder that points to an older version's plug-ins folder. Undo that and you'll get rational behavior out of Photoshop CS6 again.
Thanks, thought about that before I saw your answer, and that was the problem.
