So after the cs6 announcement (and after drooling over all the awesome features that are comming) I'm still befuddled at which OpenCL GPUs Adobe will support in CS6.
Does the openCL only work for the two models on the Macbook Pros? Or will we also get it in the enitre AMD lineup? (specifically 7000s)
For me this is a pretty big deal since I get extremely nice deals on AMD graphic cards... and I'm recently offered a very nice deal on the HD7970, but without support it's
pointless for me to acquire.
If someone who knows what's going on could fill me in it would be much appreciated. I'm sorry if Adobe has actually published all this somewhere, if so I believe I've missed it...

>openCL only work for the two models on the Macbook Pros
That is correct... TODAY... next month, who knows?
My best GUESS is that more cards will be added over time, just as nVidia support has grown... over time
Nobody who knows is going to say anything, since schedules may change
As I said on the forum thread that John pointed to, Premiere Pro CS6 will not use OpenCL for GPU acceleration on Windows.
For Mac OSX, the specific configurations are listed here:
Here's the important part:
"GPU processing (Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration) extended to use OpenCL on some systems: AMD Radeon HD 6750M and AMD Radeon HD 6770M graphics card with 1GB VRAM in MacBook Pro computers running Mac OSX v10.7"
