I'm working in AE cs5 and have created a comp containing several 3d layers, a light and camera. The 3d layer join together in a line but I get unwanted shadows where they join.
Does anyone know what's happening? I don't know if this is the solution, but is there a way to align the layers perfectly with each other and get the anchor points exactly on the edge of the layer? This may be the problem but I'm not sure?
Thanks in advance
Check whether your light is actually casting shadows and when it does, adjust the shadow map size in the comp settings or turn the shadows off. And there is no way to align layers 100% watertight in AE. Even if their values are an exacxt match, AE's crappy filtering wil lalways make it appear as if there are gaps or overlaps.
I have got the shadow map up to 4000!! Ok thanks for the advice, I may just have to turn the shadows right down or off.
