I opened a Cs5 InDesign document in InDesign Cs4, I've created my own paragraph styles, but when trying to apply these to the text in the document, it won't take the font, just the colors.
I've tried to open the copy in word and notepad, re-format there, and then copy and paste again in my InDesign document with no luck. I used InDesign for many years and I never had this issue before, does anyone knows how to solve this issue???
This really, really sounds like there is a character style applied to that text as well.
(This character style may even be selected as default, so whenever you attempt to overwrite it, all you do is re-apply it all over again.)
In some ways it sounds similar to this thread from yesterday: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4381874. The number one cuse of unexpected formatting is probably unintentional application of a character style.
That said, does it behave as expected in CS4? Have you tried exporting to .idml (see Remove minor corruption by exporting)?
Yeap, that was the problem, I can't believe I forgot to look at the character style.
Thanks for your help
