Has anyone had any luck embedding video for a newsletter campaign? I have a client who is transitioning over from Constant Contact where they made the process very easy. I understand the associated issues with doing this on some email clients but that does not change what my client wants.

Change the Send Password Recovery Email

I have email accounts that I need to change the recovery email and I do not see a way in the V3 admin interface to do this. Is this possible to do? I would think there has to be a way for the administrator to update this email but I could not find this anywhere. Not all of the email accounts are users in the system so I cannot do it through the "My Details" portion of the site. any help would be most appreciated!

'My Details' page on BC site admin - getting 'An error occurred' message

Every time I try to access my 'my details' page from a newly created site I get a 'An error has occured' page. BC support say its a problem with my system, yet with other sites I have created I can access the 'my details' page with no problems. I am using a mac and have tried accessing this page from chrome and firefox. I've also tried a different mac on a different network using the same browsers and the same thing happens. Yet I can still access the 'my details' page from other sites I have created. Any ideas? BC support are not very helpful - they keep saying it's a problem with my system. I don't understand why that can be when I can access the same page on other sites.

I am unable to locate where you can template an error page that is coming through CampaignProcess.aspx.

Example: (clicking on the mail submit without a valid email or without an entry) - appearance of red text on blank white page that reads: ERROR: Email address could not be added to list.

All of my system pages appear to be templated correctly and my default template is also templated, but they don't appear to be handling these error pages. Any suggestions?

Right now on BC if any user either types in or uses something to get to https versions of the website, it will bring up a certificate error. What I mean is if a user types https//yoursite.com instead of using https://yoursite.worldsecuresystems.com they will get a certificate error. This is not good behavior for a site. Is there some way to redirect https requests to the worldsecuresystems version of the url? If not, this is an issue that needs to get resolved. With more an more users starting to use https by defualt, this could cause a lot of issues for BC clients and developers going forward. Please let me know if there is a current work around for this issue. Thanks.

I am having an issue using OS X Mail for email via IMAP

Hi there. I am trying to use OS X Mail to set up email via IMAP for Business Catalyst email, but I am getting an error when trying to connect to the IMAP server on port 143. The Mail application connection doctor points to the incoming mail server as the problem. SMTP seems to connect just fine. I have also tried to connect via multiple ISPs and am getting the same issue. All of my setup information looks to be just fine. Any suggestions? I am using OS X 10.9.3.

I Have a client that is telling me their whole office just upgraded to Windows XP and when they are in IE 11 some of the main navigation items do not work. In fact everything else works fine except for the ABOUT US, SERVICES, GET INVOLVED, IN THE NEWS and PHOTO GALLERIES links on the home page at nashuacenter.org

The AU CD is down again. It's been up and down a bit today, with slow responses and then no server response at all. The status page is not particularly helpful. This is becoming really annoying for our clients. Two just asked if they should relocate. ;(

Bypass Adobe email altogether

HI,

I would like to bypass adobe email altogether. Its slow and does not work for us.

The issue I am having is for us to use Godaddy's email the MX records are not picking up well within Adobe nor do they seem responsive. Anyone else have this issue?

This is a killer for us because web email requests are not coming through, the help has not been helpful they just point me back to the same KB articles I have referenced dozens of times so far, and I will have to migrate the site elsewhere if this continues being an issue.

not getting desktop version on business catalyst

I recently changed my hosting on one of my sites from Vistaprint to Business Catalyst (CC member). I also created another site and hosted it on BC. Both sites were developed in Adobe Muse and published to BC. Both sites have a desktop layout and a phone layout. The "theitguru.ca" site has a link in the top right corner to take one to the DESKTOP version of the site. REQUESTING the desktop version from Safari or Chrome on my IOS8 iPhome, does not produce the desktop version of the site (except when I follow the URL at the top right corner of "theitguru.ca" (phone version) of the site).

Trying to bring up the desktop version of "pixelgrower.ca" or "theitguru.ca" from the browser's options, does nothing on the BC hosted sites.

The Vistaprint hosting services DID obey the request for the desktop version of my "pixelgrower.ca" site.

I create a new admin user on a client site in Catayst, they receive a link but the link does not go where it suppose to go and just ask user and password without allow to create one, I hope someone can shed some light, quite desperate for an answer... I tested even with a different email of mine.. no go.. and it is not exceeding number of user allowed

Bug - Wholesale AND Retail pricing bug on one order?

Hi,

Has anyone else had this issue? SA wholesale customer has done an order on our website where:

1) They have logged into wholesale zone and have wholesale pricing applied

2) Their order has some products in wholesale pricing but ALSO some pricing in consumer / retail pricing.

3) They chose a retail shipping option yet they are a wholesale customer and should have seen different shipping rates.

Getting worried about BC - this is a really serious issue. Surely the order wouldn't be able to process as wholesale AND retail pricing on one order? Surely as a wholesale customer they should only see wholesale shipping?

Any know a fix or had this happen to them?

new content editor

The content editor in the backend of www.mavoschravenlant.nl has been changed for some reason I can't figure out.

Strangely, it has not been changed in the backend of other websites, or, if so, it is "workable".

Three different content editors... how come? And how the "newest" can be changed back into the old one?

The newest content editor is not workable for my client, since they don't have knowledge of HTML.

See screenshots of the three differences, all in the backend of a business catalyst website...

Editing is only possible with knowledge of html...

Cant delete website - Keep getting error message

I'm wishing to delete one of my Business Catalyst websites however after clicking 'delete site' and entering my password I get the following message:

An error occurred processing your last request.

Please go back and try again.

I've tried about 15 times and still no luck, extremely frustrating.

When trying to update pages in "Recent Items" in BC my client doesn't have any items. Is there a way to fix this issue?

As you can see my client can see nothing when going to Recent Items. So besides the "Edit" function which has limited capabilities, how can they edit their posts and have the options of all the functions? I've looked all over and can not find a way. Or is it a glitch?

I do not have an option for starting a customer service ticket in order to have my partner portal moved from one of our partners to our own account. I know how to go about doing it, but there is nowhere for me to enter in a customer service ticket, and they will not speak to me on the phone (something about how phone support is not offered for Business Catalyst).

Very VERY frustrating. Any advice?

We have a client that uses BC email through OpenSRS. He is at 97% capacity for email storage. He is using IMAP and Thunderbird as his email client.

Per BC Support he can not get any more storage space so we instructed him to archive his email. He has been trying but with no success. He receives the following message...

Server client@company.com has disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a network problem.

Error message appears when email archiving is attempted.

Client's IT person has been working with him and Thunderbird. Thunderbird says it's server issue, OpenSRS (via BC Support) says it's Thunderbird issue.

Support has recommended that the client try another email client. I doubt that client would go for this as the time involved to sync email would be significant.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? or something near? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Im trying to basically recreate this site functionality: http://brclubs.org/news.aspx

Each item has an image and when the link is clicked it goes to a news article or blog item. So if I could set a "featured image" it could be in the list view of the blog module and show like it does on the site i referenced.

I know its possible through a webapp but webapps can automatically syndicate.

I am making a bc website,

i just made a default menu for the desktop but the dropdowns doesn't seem to be working correctly. see here http://bioquintinha.businesscatalyst.com/

Under products the drop down shows up on the right edge of the screen. I tryed every option : Under the parent; Next to parent;Relative to parent;Relative to left parent.

it just stays there on the right side of the screen.

I have this domain - www.thinkchurch.media that I am using with a business catalyst hosted site. It will not let me set up an email with this domain for some reason even though I have the right hosting plan. It says, "This cannot be an email address."

When publishing a new site from Muse I got the following message:

Error:

Could not create Adobe Business Catalyst temporary site. You have reached the limit of active temporary sites for this account.

I have only 17 active sites, 5 of them are launched live. All the other 83 of 100 websites limit I have already deleted in Business Catalyst and their status is shown as inactive, there is no way for me to get back to managing these 83 thus it kind of suggests that they are deleted. I need to create new sites under new names quite often to demonstrate work in progress or various options of design for the same website and I don't have any intention to use any of the 83 sites anymore. With the current error I can't work and I can't find a way to completely remove all 83 inactive sites inside Business Catalyst or Creative Cloud (I tried and searched and still nothing). So it's a huge problem for me.

Now, how can I solve this issue?

This recent change in the Google algorithm is bad for our clients because BC's solution for HTTPS requires the use of https://companyname.worldsecuresystems.com – which my clients would NEVER want to make their default URL.

So BC, what's your next move? If we can't install our own SSL certs, our clients will be penalised by Google.

That will make start to make BC harder to sell, especially to those who value their Google rankings.

Hello,

I have a client with an online job application form. When people apply for a job, an email with the attachment is sent to users at the company. Unfortunately, the user's email went down for a week and now there is a backlog of 30 or 40 workflow notifications in the system.

I'm wondering if there is a way to forward cases with their attached files in bulk? (i.e. CRM --> Cases)

Using Business Catylst as a Creative Cloud member. Applied the BC Gallery app to my site. However, I am getting the above error from Adobe, as soon as I select the BC Gallery from the Apps menu on my control panel. Using Firefox 32 and tried Chrome version Version 37.0.2062.103 m. Removed and reinstalled twice. Same error.

Add Images area underneath constantly says "loading..."

Ideas?

and I used this site for reference Must-Have Social Meta Tags for Twitter, Google+, Facebook and More - Moz

Ive added this to my large product page and now ive entered the world of Schema.org markup and itemtype and im having trouble with images.

for my large product page ive turned the meta tags from this...

but the page doesnt like it and the page reads with 3 /> /> /> at the top of my html page for anyone to see meaning that bc doesnt like the code.

also doesnt like it when i use

turns into this

Image is the only one im having a problem with so far any ideas if I can do anything about it. I dont want to have to manually add a http to every product.

Getting Errors setting up BC Email

Hi,

I'm receiving an error message when trying to set up an email address with Business Catalyst.

The primary domain for this website is www.weddingphotography-temecula.com and I also have anthonydavid.photography setup to be the "Default Domain" for Email as this .photography domain is being redirected to the primary website domain. I'm not sure why i'm getting this message?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure it has something to do with the MX records but for some reason i'm totally lost.

Wen i checked out my template today i think this guy who made the screen shot removed the https and put an http <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js"></script>

and thats how he took the screenshot whithout the slider displaying the images.

But I tried on everybrowser and nothing loads.

I have added the google analytics metacode to my Muse site but every time I try publishing the site, I keep getting sent to the BC 'status' page. There does not appear to be any outages but still getting to that page. The error says "an unexpected Business Catalyst error (0,0) has occured. This my be caused by a temporary outage during maintenance ....

but when I get to the status page, there are no problems reported. This has been going on since Friday 8/29. Can anyone advise what to do? Thanks!

Blurry thumbnails/poplets

Hey everyone,

I'm having an issue with blurry poplets. I've been informed that this is due to BC's method of downsizing images - ShowThumbnail.aspx is the problem.

I'm after a solution to make the poplets look crisp just like the rest of the images. I don't know why it's just the poplets as the 'recommended products' image on the right side of my page scale down perfectly.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I'm launching my new site next week and would like this to be fixed in time.

Hi,

It's not possible to login to our AU site - it keeps refreshing and saying "ERROR: You can only login using a secure connection. Click to login securely:" so we click the login there and it keeps showing error.

There's no way to contact support as we can't login to do so.

Hi,

We've noticed our google rankings and DA have dropped recently and when we run google tests it looks like a speed issue on our site.

Pingdom says our site is slower than 84% of websites.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to improve the speed of our site or somewhere I can find this info for BC sites?

Muse overwrites any SEO title Tag or Description changes made in Business Catlayst. Is there a work aorund to this? The sites do NOT merge or Muse does not detect the changes made.

I need to contact someone at adobe in order to change my MX records.

I used www.godaddy.com in order to buy my domain and I also use there email package.

When I tried the recommended way by adobe to host my site it worked but it caused me not to receive emails.

I had contacted godaddy who where very helpful and they have told me that I needed contact adobe and get them to change my mx records as they change automatically when I try to upload my site.

I have tried calling adobe but it is impossible to get anybody on the phone.

Any recommendations for me to be able to contact someone in order to change the mx records????

I really really hope someone can help! I have a ticket filed with BC...no Chat seems to be available. I am freaking out!

When I originally became a BC partner I knew I could not make my partner site a real .com domain website until I had a paying account under me. That being the case I went ahead and registered, and paid for one. Dont ask me why I did it, but I goofed and built my partner site on the wrong account. I built it on the account that I had paid for.

I was able to move all files, web-aps, blog posts ect over to the correct partner account. I was even able to move and activate the domain on my partner account. The site is live and working just fine, but when I moved the domain it forced me to delete all of the email accounts I had created there. No big deal right? I had everyone download all emails, and then I went ahead and did it.

The issue is now it will not let me add the email addresses onto my partner site! I am getting the following error: Account details for this user can only be updated via the site where it was first created.

My entire agency's emails are now down, and I have several large clients that often email us on the weekends. I hate feeling helpless to be able to do anything but wait on adobe to get around to my ticket! We are all very panicked over here. Does anyone have a good work around?

Australia Post Shipping - Can't get to work

I have read all the online support docs I can find and I just can't get Australia Post Shipping to work on our site for international orders.

Everywhere it says:

Choose your shipping provider
Enter your account details
Your customers see real time shipping costs!

But Australia Post selection doesn't let us enter account details - does anyone know where I enter them?

And after I allocated sizing, weights etc to every product it doesn't even look like it even works:

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it to actually work? I can't imagine BC would role something like this out if it didn't even work but from all my googling I can't see that anyone actually uses it (or at least comments on using it!)

Email Campaigns will not display images on gmail accounts sent through business catalyst

Hi there,

Everytime I send an email campaign through business catalyst the images will not show up on a gmail account.

I have reset all the settings on my gmail account so that I can recieve emails with images but the campaign will

still not display. Is there some sort of setting on business catalyst that needs to be changed so that subscribers

to my store can see the monthly newsletters?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to add the logout module to my top login menu on this website i am making at Home Page

Its the top menu ("signin/register help my account shooping cart signout") in blue.

It is a module menu v2 type of menu, heres the code:

container.html:

{tag_menugroup}

</div>

</div>

group.html:

{tag_menuchilditem}

</ul>

and children.html:

<li {tag_menuitemidname_withid} {tag_menuitemcssclass_withclass}><a href="{tag_menuitemurl}">{tag_menuitemlabel}</a>{tag_menugroup}

on the admin there is the logout module under Modules>Securezones>Signout link wich adds the module {module_logout} to a page, then it displays a link that says Logout, t works all but what i wanted was to logout using the SIGN OUT Link from the menu above.

How can this be done?

I tryed to add the {module_logout} on the admin to the link field for this item but with no success.
