WorldPay payment gateway setup - help needed!

Has anyone managed to successfully implement WorldPay seamless payment gateway on a BC site?

No matter what I try, I get a non-specific error message when trying to process a credit card. I have been bouncing between WorldPay support and BC support for a couple of days now and can't get to the bottom of it.

I'm assuming BC wouldn't have built a WorldPay integration if it didn't work...

Any help at all would be very much appreciated!

Is it somehow possible to integrate Square Appointments widget in the check-out and order process in BC? I have a website that needs to add a order and payment process for a delivery service. Ideally we'd like to stream line the process so that we can create an order in BC so that we can Sync it with Xero via OneSaas. Within the same process we'd like include the Square Appointments widget so as to automatically update and reserve delivery and pick-up times.

BC Secure Zone Form Customization

I have been publishing from Muse to BC and I have multiple cases where forms created using the standard Web Form builder in BC appear un-styled and plain. Can anyone assistance with or help provide reference to articles regarding the customization of these forms?

1.) In the case of secure zone registration forms where the form can run long vertically with all the require input fields, is it possible to split this form into two side-by-side columns?

2.) Is there an easy way to increase the height and width of the input fields of the form so there is a style difference between the field title and the input area of the field?

State Tax Provincial Tax

Hey there,

I have an US client that is selling online & need to know how we handle "Provincial / Regional Tax" - as this is different to "State Tax...

LA State Tax = 4%

Ouachita Parish Tax = 5.6%

The Ouachita Parish tax should only apply to sales that have originated from this region.

I am not sure how this is done - as it should be related to a Zipcode number range.

Custom layout for product list view

Hi all,

Can I create a template .tpl that is assigned only to either the product detail or list view?......or has any created a workaround for this below?

I want to display a list of products in a particular category, with a sub-menu down the left hand side of the page, but the detail view of the individual product to be across the full page width. I have several categories each with it's own sub-menu ( for the side).

I currently have a few templates, containing the various side menus, formatted to display as I need, but of course, this layout gets assigned also to the detail view, which is what I don't want.

Would be great to see other ideas.

Tax rates incorrect in business catalyst?

It looks as though tax rates are incorrect in business catalyst. That's going to be a problem. We've tried hitting the button to add all USA tax rates, but they have not updated. Additionally, some states require a more complicated tax setup than it appears Business Catalyst is supporting, for example this is a California based business that will be selling to all US states. How does the site account for that so that we're not trying to do all sorts of complicated number crunching at tax time?

Can someone please explain to me how the system for tax codes works in this program?

What are California based sellers supposed to do for taxes?

How can I submit form data to an outside url after a purchase?

I'm using BC as the ecommerce portion of a site that sells certificates that people will purchase. There is an outside developer creating PDF certificates with their info and a custom code. Does anyone know how I can submit data from purchase form to an external url?

Is there a way to notify the 'assigned to' user upon status change?

could use some help/advice on "work flow" (not sure if this is the workflows or just a work flow we would do manually).

We want to be able to notify a user/admin, not a customer, about a change in the status of an order record.

EG:

order was completed a week ago
customer calls with problem
we look up order
we change status (or set the workflow) of order to "problem" (this would then kick an email to the person "assigned to") so they can work the problem. I tried creating a workflow with a step (to send an email), but setting the workflow in the order manually does not kick it off. <--is this possible or is there a different solution?

SHA-1, replace with SHA-2 Certificates

Does anyone know anything about the impact or plans for BC concerning SHA-1 and SHA-2 certificates? Google and Microsoft plan to change their browsers regarding certificates. And this may impact payment gateways.

Our clients have started to receive notifications from their payment gateway providers that they must update to SHA-2. From what I have read, this stems from a problem with SSLv3.0 (POODLE - "Padded Oracle" exploit). SSLv3.0 support will be disabled I understand. I assume that this will concern BC payment gateways. Could the Adobe BC team comment on this please? Thanks!

WorldPay Payment Gateway Card Processing error

Hello,

Our site www.lovebathrooms.com is experiencing probles! We had set up the test gateway with WorldPay and it worked fine, WorldPay activated it to take live payments. Now when trying to place an order with a real card, we just get the following message.

Credit Card Payment Failed

There was an error processing your credit card. Please correct this and try again.

ERROR: An error occurred while processing credit card
An Error Occurred
Please go back and correct this.

Even resetting to the default checkout still results in this message, please help!

Franchise website multi site implementation

Hi, I am unsure if BC has the ability to do this. I have been asked by a client to create a business franchise website, like this sitehttp://www.franchisedirect.co.uk/ the thing is the customer wants to be able to setup a website for each franchise that has purchased plan but only allow that franchisee to change certain elements in order to maintain brand integrity. Is something like this possible? I was thinking it could be done using the site replication tool but then this would be a separate site, domain etc and the owner of the franchise wouldn't be able to maintain control of the franchisee sites and information from a central location.

hi just added a module_productfeaturelist to my shipping cart at the bottom of the page to try and tempt people with extras they might need.

Ive added the module_productfeaturelist but all the products display below eachother instead of side by side. im guessing at trying to fix the problem and thought you guys would be quicker than me at telling me what tables of dvs need to be modified.

ps I know the images are set to 100% width when ive change it to an appropriate size within firebug its still a list below eachother

I must have missed a step. I have this site set up and the paypal standard gateway does not work with a web form, but works with shopping cart. Does that mean I need to disable the web form page and use something else to check out? How do you do this? The BC help page on this stops at this point in describing what to do.

So i have just upgraded BC from web basic with Creative Cloud to E-Commerce.

When i log back into BC i go to add a secure zone and all i see in the list under Site Manager is Web Forms, and System Emails. Where is the rest of the list? How do i get the full listing that you get when you start a free trial?

Product Thumbnails Overlapping

Hello I got a problem with the spacing of the product thumbnail in the "individual small",,, when I add 1-2 products it looks good but more than 2 look terrible, all the thumbnails are squeezed together to the left side overlapping each other, I want the product thumbnails to be centered and with a small space in between them in rows of 4 how do I do that? thank you

Migrating a test site to an existing BC site

I am trying to migrate a site creating as a trial using a BC GURUS template to an existing e-commerce site hosted by BC.

Is there any easy way to do this without having to recreate modules, web forms, etc - basically all the work I did with the trial? I'd love to just ditch the existing site and go with the new one, but I would be forfeiting customer orders, cases, and pretty much all reports, etc, right?

In the future I am definitely creating a test directory within the existing site to avoid this mess, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everybody, I'm learning more and more about the customization of E-commerce. I'm currently trying to customize the shopping cart template in "module templates" (as well as "single item small)". I got everything working the way it should but I don't know where to even start when it comes to making it look good i.e. colors, background colors positioning etc. I hope that some one can help me and thanks to all in advance.

How to sell Digital Image Downloads in Sets ONLY

I am attempting to offer a large number (currently 200 in stock) of original photo images as digital downloads using BC.

I have them entered in the eCommerce system as individual "Products" with digital download enabled, but here is the challenge, the client does not want to sell them as single downloads because of minimum merchant processing fees. Therefore they want to offer a set of 6 (different images) for $5 -and- a set of 13 (different images) for $13.

I could set up 2 products: one for "6 Set" and another for "13 Set", but how would I enable the site visitor to select the images that they want in either set before checking out, keeping in mind that they would expect to receive links to download the images they chose after payment?

Does anyone have in information to share on how I can accomplish this?

Would appreciate any feedback.

Looking for something to do custom invoices on in BC similar to WP-Invoice - https://www.usabilitydynamics.com/products/wp-invoice/

The workflow I would like is:

receive a form with information from a customer
have that information partially populate a quote/invoice
complete the rest of the quote/invoice myself (set the cost etc.)
send the quote/invoice to my client with a unique link
the unique link will direct the client to a page which they can pay the invoice

WP-Invoice is very similar, but I have not found something equivalent for business catalyst. I'd love to hear your feedback and thoughts!

Events - Multiple Booking Allocation & Products (In one)?

Does anyone know if there is a way to have multiple booking allocations for validation? for example, i want to be able to set up a booking that will allow the user to select either "adult" and/or "child" tickets, while also enforcing a limit on how many tickets someone can purchase. I don't see an easy way to do this and it doesn't seem like the booking allocation input field can be customized but I though I would see if anyone has set up a booking this way or at least if it's possible. Also, is there a way to add a product for sale with a booking? So for example, the client wants to sell daily harbor sailing tickets for adults & children (with variable pricing and sell limits) and let the customer buy apparel or a cap. Is this doable through a web app, a booking OR can all this be accomplished with the catalog?

Just wondering if a website like www.vistaprint.co.uk can be replicated in business catalyst? Could we use a third party piece of software to do it? Can we build something bespoke in catalyst?

The business wants people to be able to order business cards, flyers, posters etc online and display a custom message over the templates they may have. They also want people to be able to login and submit proofs for print, check proofs and okay the work.

Is there anyone out there that could build such a solution or is catalyst the wrong platform?

Alert when Shopping Cart Price is Greater than $40

Hey everyone, I've got a client who would like a message displayed when the shopping cart exceeds $40 (before tax and shipping).

In addition to the message, they would like to offer a free membership and optional magazine. Neither of these will be managed through BC, but I need to be able to pass that information off to the client.

My first thought is to create a custom CRM field with a check box that can be toggled on and off from the checkout page. I've also wondered if there is a way to add a free product (the membership and magazine) to the shopping cart once the price is over $40.

Do any of you have experience with this situation?

duplicate emails

I built a website in Adobe Muse and manage it through Business Catalyst. Everything works fine, but when a customer makes a purchase, inquiry, etc. they get receive 2 automated response that exactly the same and I get the same as well. Every email that comes in or out of BC is duplicated.

Any thoughts on what could fix this.

Editing large orders

We are looking for a workaround to editing large orders because the Business Catalyst system does not seem to be able to handle it. When working in admin on a order that contains approx 500 items, most times the page load crashes or it can take about 5 minutes to fully load successfully. As a workaound, I was hoping that we could export the orders and then re import but BC have advised that importing order data is not possible. I was wondering if anyone has had similar issues and have any ideas for a work around to this issue?

Help using a Dragn'Drop in a BC eCommerce site created in Muse

I want to create a DragN'Drop template functionality to display multiple photo image galleries on a web page where the site visitor can select 12 images to drag and drop into a grid of 12 empty spaces on the SAME page.

I located the following 3rd party script: http://www.redips.net/my/preview/REDIPS_drag/example10/ This would be perfect because the scrolling containers on the left can contain the photo image galleries from which the image selection if "dragged" and the static container on the right can be the receptacle where the selected images are "dropped".

The twelve selected or (dropped) images represent an eCommerce product that the client will print and ship to the customer. This means that at some point the site visitor will need to add this template to the shopping cart and pay for the template order.

Because Muse over-writes when published to BC, I will need to insert the template in to a Muse page as HTML. The questions is:

1.) How can I get the template to work with the BC shopping cart function and process the finished "dropped" selection as an order?

2.) Once the selections are "dropped" into place, how can I have the system email a copy of the selected "dropped" images to an email address?

If there is a BC expert out there who can offer a few clues as to how I can make this all work -- I would greatly appreciate it?

Seeking suggestions for 2 separate BC eCommerce website product applications: I have within BC so far about 200 image in the in a folder in the "File Manager" -AND- each image has been optimized as a low-res digital image down-load product (divided among 20 catalogs).

#1. Image downloads not for individual purchase but as (a bundle of 6 for one price) and (a bundle of 13 for second price) only.

I'm trying to customize two BC products a 6 Pack & 13 Pack of digital image downloads. Normally in BC, a visitor could purchase a single image as a downloadable product and after successful check-out they would receive an email containing the download links. I need to disable single unit purchases and enable the customer to ONLY select 6 images for one price -or- select 13 images for one price. After successful check-out they would receive links for either 6 download files or 13 based on their purchase. They could also purchase multiple pack sets.

#2. Allow the site visitor to select 12 images (from 200 images among 20 catalogs) for a 12 month custom calendar which would be printed and shipped. The BC product here would be a 12 month custom calendar. I have a product listed in BC as a "12-Month Custom Calender" and a display page titled the same. I have been looking into a drag n drop system that would allow the visitor to: purchase the product > select 12 images > submit their select by email to site admin.

I have limited coding skill and I should mention that I originally created and continue to add-on to the site with Adobe Muse. Because I chose to use Muse, I have been looking for solutions that I can embed in Muse pages as "Objects" as Muse will over-write BC custom elements as it is over-written. I have looked at either using a 12 field drag n drop which might work but I can't determine how to make the 20 catalogs available on the same page to select from.

Can ANYONE offer suggestions?

Are any of these discount codes possible in BC or will they be possible with BC.next?

1. "Buy $50.00 worth of product and receive a free …" - When the code gets entered, it adds the free item to the order if they have spent $50.00.

2. "Buy one get one Free" - Kind of self-explanatory.

3. "Buy one get one x% off" - Same as above.

4. "Buy 4 or more cans of coating, regardless of size or series and receive a 15% discount" - The one we have always been trying to get into the cart system. This isn't so much a code as it is an automated discount.

5. "Buy products a, b, c and d and get x free with your order"

6. "Buy this item, get that item for a discount."

Bug - Wholesale AND Retail pricing bug on one order?

Has anyone else had this issue? SA wholesale customer has done an order on our website where:

1) They have logged into wholesale zone and have wholesale pricing applied

2) Their order has some products in wholesale pricing but ALSO some pricing in consumer / retail pricing.

3) They chose a retail shipping option yet they are a wholesale customer and should have seen different shipping rates.

Getting worried about BC - this is a really serious issue. Surely the order wouldn't be able to process as wholesale AND retail pricing on one order? Surely as a wholesale customer they should only see wholesale shipping?

Any know a fix or had this happen to them?

new content editor

The content editor in the backend of www.mavoschravenlant.nl has been changed for some reason I can't figure out.

Strangely, it has not been changed in the backend of other websites, or, if so, it is "workable".

Three different content editors... how come? And how the "newest" can be changed back into the old one?

The newest content editor is not workable for my client, since they don't have knowledge of HTML.

See screenshots of the three differences, all in the backend of a business catalyst website...

widen the product "description" column when viewing customer orders

We have a text box for customers to enter personalization details for items they purchase. But when I view the customer's order in Business Catalyst, the "description" field is not wide enough for me to see their entire text message. In the screen shot below, for example, the customer has actually added additional text for some of the items purchased, but it's not showing up for me. (The only reason I know this is because the email notification I receive when a customer places an order shows the text in full, although it's in a layout that's not easy to read. And I need the full order details in Business Catalyst so I can efficiently manage orders all at once.)

I saw there was a session at Max called 'BC Roadmap open table with Alexandru Costin'. I'd be very intersted to see a video or write up of what was discussed here?

I've been spending a lot of time looking at Liquid, using Shopify resources as obviously they are far more developed. I do see great potential for it on BC, but it's been 3 years in the making and I'm hoping it can make a big difference, quickly. My fear is it will take a lot more time to be fully effective, for BC to catch-up, and meanwhile other platforms are moving far ahead.

I have e-commerce clients getting impatient and frustrated with BC limitations, and while Liquid may give us better access to data, there is still a lot of engineering to make BC e-commerce as proficient as Shopify, Magento etc. I'm sure there is a huge wish list from partners that need to be addresses to really make BC e-commerce powerful again.

I don't want to move clients from BC but am sorely tempted to move a client who is ready for a rebuild onto Shopify....the thinking being that at least learning Liquid is going to be beneficial on both platforms. But out-of-the-box, Shopify is offering a lot my clients want now....on page cart, one page checkout, quick views, product detail to detail navigation, catalogue level SEO, smart collections, filtered menus with product tagging, Facebook store, POS integration etc etc.

For us to keep the faith with BC we really need some idea of the roadmap, and a timeline that can be committed to. I'm hoping that some good news will be shared from Max soon....

system completely gone bonkers?

Anyone could give a definite answer to whats up with the system helps me retain whatever hair left on my head.

I assigned not to use a template to the shopping cart module, but BC kept adding a default template as and when it feels like. The issue is not consistent.

Hi All

I have a customer who has got 12 shipping options.

They want the ability to go against their items and enter values of between 1 - 12 (1 = Free / 12 = 24.95). Can we use one of the weight, height, width, depth fields and enter a single value into there which will then pull through the shipping cost?

If an item which is a band 5 shipping, can the system use the cost of the band 5 shipping only instead of an accumulative cost?

Dependent on the value they enter the system should recognise the the highest shipping value item in the cart and apply that shipping charge automatically.

The current shipping system in catalyst is very poor, and for some small businesses that are not shipping large volumes to charge a flat rate will put customers off especially when you have items to the value of £1.99 and the flat rate is £3.95!

2. Is there a way of implementing a button which will allow the user to collect from store an deduct any shipping charges?

3. Product Attributes

The customer has 2 types of paint pots, a sample pot priced at 5.95 and a 1 litre pot at £18.95

At the moment we have two products setup with the same information, sample and main item and this will result in us having duplicated content which is no good for SEO.

Is there a way to setup a product which has two attributes and the first attribute is automatically selected (£18.95) and the user can then select a smaller size if they require.

Customize using Form with Shopping Cart function?

so my client needs to run promotions like BUY 4 GET 1 FREE and BUY 6 GET 1 FREE

the tricky part is the products vary in price and the customer needs to be able to select the 6 they pay for and the free one from something list a List menu or series of radio buttons on a custom form in the product large page

So, how can i let a customer select 6 products from one catalog (of varying price) to quality for a free product (that they also choose fro that catalog) and pass the appropriate price to the shopping cart?

Can I exclude a state from free shipping? Or zip/post code?

Hi, we currently have one state where it doesn't make sense to offer free shipping (too expensive).

We would still like to offer it to other states / regions.

Is there away we can exclude a state from free shipping or alternatively apply a different shipping rate to each state? Perhaps through shipping zones?

This seems to be a very basic requirement that's easily achieved on most eCommerce platforms..

Discounted pricing for some products in a catalog

Apologies if this has been answered, I did search but couldn't find an answer.

Is there a way to create a discount code that is associated to only one specific product in a catalog ?

And / or is there a way to apply a standing discount percentage to a specific existing customer ?

Basically I'm looking for a way to provide a subset of customers with ongoing discounted pricing on some items in a catalog
