Links and stylesheets are now showing up on my live index page that were already deleted

This only affects my index page - four other pages with identical code and styling (and different subsets of content) appear perfectly.

southwaite.co/index.html -> looking crazy

southwaite.co/video_.html, and all other links -> looking good

I've combed through the site both in Dreamweaver and with FTP to delete any remnants of old files. The site's index page went up on Wednesday, displayed perfectly for most of Thursday and Friday, then went haywire over the weekend. Last observation: Lines of code appear in the live version of the index page that don't come from my uploaded files. Check out the difference:

Never had issues with BC mail before. I have 'upgraded' to OSX Yosemite and slowly things starts to fall apart. Mail worked fine for a few days but now I cannot send emails anymore using BC SMTP server. from all my SMTP accounts it's the only one that is failing to connect. I tried deleting my account in Mac Mail and create it again but doesn't work.

Anyone experiencing SMTP issues especially on the new Yosemite OS?

Newbie here, if I decide to host a site with BC I know that email is not included with WebBasics but how many email mailboxes can I get with the upgraded subscriptions, and is there UK pricing anywhere?

Business Catalyst email clients forgot password

Client using Business Catalyst as CMS and email client DNS was moved, then when email access to the former Business Catalyst mail (mail.hostedemail.com) was not available DNS was reverted back.

We need to determine if the following process steps are correct

1) A recovery email needs to be sent from the Business Catalyst CMS

with the DNS records and CNAME records INTACT reverted back to Business Catalyst CMS and mail

2) That password will be used to log in https://mail.hostedemail.com/?_task=login

3) Mail migration and archive can begin. Username password resets will be performed for

each user.

Question: Archive (mail up to the DNS and MX change of a day ago) mail is still on the server (worldsecuresystems.com) hostedemail.com

error pages for "CampaignProcess.aspx?ListID="

I am unable to locate where you can template an error page that is coming through CampaignProcess.aspx.

Example: (clicking on the mail submit without a valid email or without an entry) - appearance of red text on blank white page that reads: ERROR: Email address could not be added to list.

All of my system pages appear to be templated correctly and my default template is also templated, but they don't appear to be handling these error pages. Any suggestions?

Migrating a test site to an existing BC site

I am trying to migrate a site creating as a trial using a BC GURUS template to an existing e-commerce site hosted by BC.

Is there any easy way to do this without having to recreate modules, web forms, etc - basically all the work I did with the trial? I'd love to just ditch the existing site and go with the new one, but I would be forfeiting customer orders, cases, and pretty much all reports, etc, right?

In the future I am definitely creating a test directory within the existing site to avoid this mess, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I Have a client that is telling me their whole office just upgraded to Windows XP and when they are in IE 11 some of the main navigation items do not work. In fact everything else works fine except for the ABOUT US, SERVICES, GET INVOLVED, IN THE NEWS and PHOTO GALLERIES links on the home page at nashuacenter.org

Can anyone help me resolve this conflict?

System Error message when deleting site

Not sure if anyone else is having issues with Business Catalyst, but I am trying to delete one of my sites but keep getting the following message:

An Error Occurred

An error occurred processing your last request.
Please go back and try again.

It has been the same for the last 2 days. I am a Creative Cloud member and currently have 3 sites on BC. One of them is no longer required.

Logging in to my account and deleting through the normal procedure: Site Settings - Site Management - Delete Site. I get to the point where I put in my password but that's as far as I get before I get the error message.

Anyone else experiencing issues? As I'm still waiting for an answer from Adobe I thought I might throw the question out to others who may have some insight.

I have a client asking for a "wildcard SSL certificate". How do I get one and how do I proceed?

Bypass Adobe email altogether

I would like to bypass adobe email altogether. Its slow and does not work for us.

The issue I am having is for us to use Godaddy's email the MX records are not picking up well within Adobe nor do they seem responsive. Anyone else have this issue?

This is a killer for us because web email requests are not coming through, the help has not been helpful they just point me back to the same KB articles I have referenced dozens of times so far, and I will have to migrate the site elsewhere if this continues being an issue.

Setup on Dotster?

We have paid the hosting fee and are trying to get our site live on our Dotster domain.

In Dotster's domain management, under 'Pointers' we have pointed the domain to the business catalyst URL however when we try to look at it this message shows up:

Could not display this Web Site as no Start Page has been configured. To configure a default starting page, set one of your Web Pages to be the Start Page. Please contact your Administrator for more information.

Dotster's support was supremely unhelpful, and told us to point the nameservers back to their defaults for dotster.com.

Is anybody able to break down exactly what the process is for pushing a site live with Dotster? So far it's been more of a hassle than any other project we've worked on.

Why is my old domain not pointing to my new domain? Do I need to delete the old DNS record?

Under site settings>secure domain redirection - I have in place a domain redirect that is not working.

Do I need to delete the old dns record in site settings>site domains>advanced dns records ? Or is there something else I should be doing?

Obviously I do not want to lose the SEO benefit by totally deleting the old domain I just want to redirect it to the new one.

Updating Exsisting Domain Name Servers Process?

I have an existing domain set with external name servers. When I originally set up the domain in BC Admin I went for the no mail option and simply updated the A records to point over to BC.

I would now like to updated the Name Servers to point to BC so that all mail is coming through the BC system.

I understand how to do this by updating the DNS records with BC's name servers.

My question is:

Do I also need to log in to BC Admin - Site Settings - Domains and amend any details here?

Do I perhaps have to delete existing Domain info and start again?

Any advice would be very gratefully received

2. Also on BC host - old site Domain name - customer wants to use this same domain for new site.

Since both are on BC hosting what is best way to go live?

Two concerns:

- the new site has a BC web app for secure documents uploading.

will that transfer if I just copy files over to the old directory of existing site domain?

Cannot receive emails after switching DNS to business catalyst - please help!

I have a domain through 1and1, and have just created a Muse website, and published it to the Business Catalyst space I receive with my monthly Creative Cloud subscription. Ive followed the process to link the DNS settings to Business Catalyst and the site url to 1and1, and the site itself is all up and running perfectly.

However, Ive only just realised that I haven't received any emails all day from my email address, which I haven't changed any settings for in 1and1, and can't find any settings on Business Catalyst WebHosting to change. I can send out emails and people receive them, but have been told and tried myself and do not receive any emails at all to my address.

Can anyone advise on this issue?

How do you remove the space between the lines in your email signature?

I have a problem with my signature in business catalyst mail.

I have added a logo and my signature and when I send the email it looks good.

There is the space between the lines that I want.

But when the mail is received it looks like this:

with too much space between each line. How do I fix this?

Moving host to business catalyst

Hi,

Let me start by saying that I'm an old (and therefore print) designer, just getting into web design, thanks to Muse.

I have created sites for friends when they have just bought their domains, changed the name servers and everything works. This time, I want to change hosts - from my previous host to BC. Not so easy. Hoping I've just missed something...

Firstly, I couldn't change my name servers myself, so I have asked my old hosts to do it for me. When I made my test site live, the name servers BC gave me ( in a little pop-up box) were the same as I have used before, (ns1.worldsecuresystems.com etc.) but they had numbers after them. Is this correct? They say its working fine, but It's still the same old site, not the one I did on Muse.

Secondly, I can't get my emails to work. I want to use the same emails I used with my old hosts, but it won't let me add my email address. Perhaps this is because it is the one I used to join Adobe and BC? And because I am no longer hosting with my old hosts, other email addresses associated with my domain don't work, so I can't answer any invitations!

Is there other stuff I have to put in? Records etc.?

When publishing a new site from Muse I got the following message:

Error:

Could not create Adobe Business Catalyst temporary site. You have reached the limit of active temporary sites for this account.

I have only 17 active sites, 5 of them are launched live. All the other 83 of 100 websites limit I have already deleted in Business Catalyst and their status is shown as inactive, there is no way for me to get back to managing these 83 thus it kind of suggests that they are deleted. I need to create new sites under new names quite often to demonstrate work in progress or various options of design for the same website and I don't have any intention to use any of the 83 sites anymore. With the current error I can't work and I can't find a way to completely remove all 83 inactive sites inside Business Catalyst or Creative Cloud (I tried and searched and still nothing). So it's a huge problem for me.

Now, how can I solve this issue?

This recent change in the Google algorithm is bad for our clients because BC's solution for HTTPS requires the use of https://companyname.worldsecuresystems.com – which my clients would NEVER want to make their default URL.

So BC, what's your next move? If we can't install our own SSL certs, our clients will be penalised by Google.

That will make start to make BC harder to sell, especially to those who value their Google rankings.

webmail - i cannot send emails

Hi Folks - I am hoping someone can help me out!

I have several email addresses and they have all worked fine until very recently. My primary email is now failing to SEND from my webmail.

I am getting the "SMTP error (554) 5.7.1... user not permitted to relay..." message.

My site was set up by a third party on my behalf. I am unable to contact him at this time and this function is really important, clearly.

Does anyone out there know what I can do to remedy this until I am able to meet with my Webmaster who will fix it, should I not be able to.

I'm receiving an error message when trying to set up an email address with Business Catalyst.

The primary domain for this website is www.weddingphotography-temecula.com and I also have anthonydavid.photography setup to be the "Default Domain" for Email as this .photography domain is being redirected to the primary website domain. I'm not sure why i'm getting this message?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure it has something to do with the MX records but for some reason i'm totally lost.

We've noticed our google rankings and DA have dropped recently and when we run google tests it looks like a speed issue on our site.

Pingdom says our site is slower than 84% of websites.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to improve the speed of our site or somewhere I can find this info for BC sites?

Muse overwrites any SEO title Tag or Description changes made in Business Catlayst. Is there a work aorund to this? The sites do NOT merge or Muse does not detect the changes made.

I need to contact someone at adobe in order to change my MX records.

I used www.godaddy.com in order to buy my domain and I also use there email package.

When I tried the recommended way by adobe to host my site it worked but it caused me not to receive emails.

I had contacted godaddy who where very helpful and they have told me that I needed contact adobe and get them to change my mx records as they change automatically when I try to upload my site.

I have tried calling adobe but it is impossible to get anybody on the phone.

Any recommendations for me to be able to contact someone in order to change the mx records????

I really really hope someone can help! I have a ticket filed with BC...no Chat seems to be available. I am freaking out!

When I originally became a BC partner I knew I could not make my partner site a real .com domain website until I had a paying account under me. That being the case I went ahead and registered, and paid for one. Dont ask me why I did it, but I goofed and built my partner site on the wrong account. I built it on the account that I had paid for.

I was able to move all files, web-aps, blog posts ect over to the correct partner account. I was even able to move and activate the domain on my partner account. The site is live and working just fine, but when I moved the domain it forced me to delete all of the email accounts I had created there. No big deal right? I had everyone download all emails, and then I went ahead and did it.

The issue is now it will not let me add the email addresses onto my partner site! I am getting the following error: Account details for this user can only be updated via the site where it was first created.

My entire agency's emails are now down, and I have several large clients that often email us on the weekends. I hate feeling helpless to be able to do anything but wait on adobe to get around to my ticket! We are all very panicked over here. Does anyone have a good work around?

Everytime I send an email campaign through business catalyst the images will not show up on a gmail account.

I have reset all the settings on my gmail account so that I can recieve emails with images but the campaign will

I am looking for simple one code/plugin/HTML solution which I can copy paste in the website for the translation. I want to put google translator with flags on my website in the top right hand side. I want to translate my website in 9 languages and want to put 9 country flags on the top right hand side, which translate languages on click event on "same page" , I want the translation must take place at the same page after clicking on the flag. Hello,

I am trying to finalize my website and I have added my domain. I have been to my site management and changed the start page multiple times and somehow the browser is still trying to retrieve my phone layout ( I mistakingly made the phone index the home page from my site domains page and deleted my incomplete mobile layout in an attempt to fix it). All I want is for my domain to take me to my homepage when entered in the url search bar.

The url I am using is theincitejournal.com and then it takes me to http://www.theincitejournal.com/phone/index.html

All I want is to direct theincitejournal.com to Calling On Consciousness - The Incite Journal

Heads should roll. The new release reminds me of the Obama Care website launch. How can you overlook the porting over of data such as HTML email signatures? Can't add attachments! Who was checking the list before they launched this piece of #!$!. I can't believe how slow this release is. Just logging in takes too long. Navigate anywhere and you have to wait for the program to interpret your request. Start typing a contact to auto load their email address and the program lags.

Add an attachment? Finally. But why does it take so long? Send --- what am I waiting for now? Good grief this sucks. I can't imagine what my clients are experiencing.

I don't even know who to register my complaints! Totally amateur. Should never of been released without thorough testing. Idiots. This reflects on my business recommendations and your reputation as well. Total FLUNK.

I was messing with things because when i google "mysite.org" it gives me a different description on google than when I search "www.mysite.org." I really want them both to say the same thing, but I must have messed something up because now when I type "mysite.org" and try to go to the site it no longer forwards to "www.mysite.org" and says that it cannot be found. I didn't change the forwarding nameservers at all, but maybe I messed something up.

Also, if anyone knows why the search description of my sans www site is "mysite.org is your first and best source for information about mysite. Here you will also find topics relating to issues of general interest" instead of what my actual SEO meta-data description is that would be great.

Hey guys.. I'm wrestling with a domain and hosting issue related to Adobe Muse (Creative Cloud Subscriber) and the Business Catalyst hosting of one of my five free sites. The domain I'm working with was registered at Hover.com and includes email. I want to use BC to host, have my URL not reflect the domain.businesscatalyst.com address--rather just my domain.com address--and, finally, I want the Muse Contact form that requires BC to work properly. I'm pretty (design software) tech savvy, but always have had a problem negotiating the DNS, Hosting and Email server settings. Silver bullet would be much appreciated!

Pushed site live to domain bought from 123-reg. It's not working!

Hi,

I've designed a website in Muse and have pushed it live. The domain name was bought by my client from 123-reg and I have pointed it to one of the IP addresses that Muse gave me at the time I pushed the site live. It's been 48 hours and the website is still not working. I've contacted 123-reg who say that everything is fine their end and I've done everything correctly as far as they're concerned. When they pinged the URL of the site it was timing out and therefore reverting back to their holding page.

This is the first time I've designed a website and am finding it very frustrating! Can somebody please help?

two sites on one BC site (2 Domains)

I want to run 2 sites one will be a food shop and the other will be a drinks shop. I already have a BC site (the food one) but I want to split it into 2 different sites with different branding etc.

All the invoicing will be done in the same place but I just want 2 domains that point to different folders in the site eg. myfoodsite.com (mysite.com/food) & mydrinksite.com (mysite.com/drink) but the domain name needs to stay the same myfoodsite.com/index.php and mydrinksite.com/index.php.

please let me know if this is possible and if it is, how would you go about it?

The pages look different and I can't find the redirect option after I delete the domain - New Forward

Initially,

I had setup the domains to Forward to the default domain, in Site Domains > Edit,

but this did not seems to be working,

the site showed up under the secondary domains but the url in the address bar of the browser stayed as per the secondary domain,

should this not switch to the default domain?

Then I saw the article above and this one, specifically the "Forward all domains to the default" section:

which made me try to delete the secondary domain - and then not see the New Forward option mentioned.

I am using the "Use an external DNS server" option for the domains, as the client has email setup via another system and are worried about moving it.

Any hints?

I'm selling my BC web space. It is the wedCommerce version. It lists for 34.99/mo = $419.88 per year. I got it about 4-5 years ago and only pay $126.30 per year. I'm asking $400.00. Adding a domain name to BC site results in Error. Cannot locate Adobe support.

"Error. Domain name already exists..." Have 3 sites not working right now.

Sorry to post multiple times, but Adobe support is non-existent, and Live Chat and Open a Ticket are both circular links that never go anywhere, nor let me contact Adobe.

Past answers said Adobe needed to clear out their servers, but all answers in forum are from 2012(!).

Already lost a day, need help ASAP.
