ES4 Workspace Customization

Hi All,

I have customized ES4 flex based workspace. I am changing the Login screen of the workspace.

Now, I need to change the browser title of workspace. I have changed the same in the html folder of workspace-ui project, but that change is reflected only till workspace swf file is loaded.

I chcked in the adobe provided documents but no luck.

Could anyone let me know ASAP how do i change this permanently in my custom version of workspace.

forward the task from one user to other in the Livecycle workspace

I am filling a form in workspace, and then changing the data and saving it. then I forward the task to other user. when the task is forwarded, new user will get the task in his to do list.

I want to set the Task Instruction when the task is forwarded to new user from the Form data, How can we achiev this?

I tried using the ForwardedTask event, but the event data does not contain form data.

Long lived process is not invoking by clicking on Complete button!!

HI All,

I have Long lived process which is working fine last week through work space and workbench.But this week it is not invoking neither from workbench nor through work space . Enabled the recording to see what is the issue .Recording is not happening for this process only . I have 3 workspace categories .In other category All the other forms are working fine .Only this one is not working . I have checked the history no one did changes . And scheduler service in components view is up and running.

Could you please suggest me where i am going wrong???

I am using ADOBE LIVE CYCLE ES 2(Both designer and workbench ES 2 only)

Hi All,

Could anyone provide me any useful link to Customize flex based ES4 workspace.

The only document I got is http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/11.0/customizeworkspaceui.pdf which seems to work only in flex builder 3.

I am using the new Flash Builder 4.6 version.

Any inputs highly appreciated!

Need help in Customizing Workspace

Hello All,

I am customizing the flex based ES4 workspace. I was able to follow all the instructions in the Adobe provided document for Customization.

I am using Flash Builder 4.5 and the SDK which comes with the Livecycle ES4 installation. I was able to import the adobe-workspace-src.zip file and extract the contents and create a new project in flash builder.

I am facing few problems when I try to build the workspace-ui project using ANT.

1) unable to open 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\sdks\4.5.1.lc/frameworks/libs/datavisualization.swc'

When I checked in the folder, I saw that swc file does not exist at all. Do I need to download the file? Or how do I fix this issue.

2) The style 'backgroundAlpha' is only supported by type 'mx.controls.TextArea' with the theme(s) 'halo'.

I am getting this error in Reconnect.mxml file and I googled for the possible reason for this error but no luck. Can any one let me know how to fix this?

3) unable to open 'C:\Adobe\Workspace_Code\Workspace\foundation\bin\foundation.swc'

Same as the first point, It doesn't exist at all in the folder. Do I need to download the file? Or how do I fix this issue.

Any inputs on these are highly appreciated!

I use Livecycle workbench ES4 to build a process ,which to read a document from the file-system, but now I want to read a document from FTP(The path such as "http://192.138.1.201/Template/pdfs/Template.pdf") , how to set the process?

Including attachments from PDF in Save as Draft and Submit as XDP

When I wrote the first large process years ago, I ran into the problem of saving attachments that are in the PDF. If you ask the question, the response will be that you have to submit as PDF. That in turn has it's own other problems which when trying to solve, the answer given is "That is because you are submitting as a PDF". I have seen many ask the same thing I wanted: Submit as XDP, but include the attachments. This also includes that the built in Save Draft save them too.

The summary is this: Loop through the attachments in JavaScript, Base64 encode them and stick them into the DOM. On the server side, use a script step to loop through and create a map of document objects to pass to the next render.

The following needs to be called from a preSubmit event passing event.target. You'll need to add the nodes referenced to your schema.

After I wrote that, I realized there is a method to create a document from Base64. Since I can inspect the map during record and play back and see that the documents are stored Base64, I think I could speed up the process by changing to the other method. I am assuming it would prevent a decode then encode. This same technique might also be applied to annotations.

I am not able to use Service management from adminui, It says service was .MarkedForRollbackException: The current transaction has been marked for rollback. I dont know why this error is coming, Please let me know how this can be resolved.

Hi ,

I am having the below problem in one of the workflow which cannot able to replicate or fix teh issue. This is not common issue and happedning once in a while.

1. Workflow A --> B (Group)--> C --> D

2. When the task is assigned to Group - B , and any one of the memaber claimed from Group.

3. Say P is claimed from group B and completed but its not moved to C.

When i tried to view via ADmin Console , Process is running the and step is running but if clicks details of teh step then its showing P is claimed and completed . But the status of the step is still running .

Here is there any idea about root cause of the problem...

External Webapp and workspace ES3

Hello all,

my customer is asking me to integrate some external webapps (html/js) directly into the workspace. They are using ALC ES3, so the HTML Workspace is not an option.

They need the following. Either:

- the user clicks to an app listed in the workspace and the external webapp is loaded into an "iframe" like object directly in the workspace.

- ... or he is redirected to the external webapp, in a new tab (I wasn't able to make this work, "navigateToUrl" flex call has no effect, would a direct javascript call via ExternalInterface work better?)

- ... or any other option that can make the user launch an external app from the workspace.

Is the Flex workspace open source? -> I would be able to adapt it

Can we install the HTML Workspace in ALC ES3? -> Would be nice!

Any other idea? ->

Remove and add "Save" and "Offline" button from Workspace

Hi,

These "Save" and "Offline" buttons can be added or removed from workspace.

"Offline".

When you add process fields on form design, this offline button appears in workspace.

"Save"

When you set submit button as xml. Then this save button gets disappeared from workspace. use XDP to display save button.

How to create a group that is visible in workspace

I would like to assign a task to group "Test". However, I get an "invalid principal exception" when I do so through the assign task process.

My group "Test" is set up with "workspace user".

I have added "user 1" to the group. User1 has the "workspace user" role.

When I log into workspace with User 1, the group "Test" is not visible on the left pane. I think this is my issue, but not sure how to solve.

I have an Assigned task using a Document option for the Presentation & Data property. Initially, the task form opens correctly in workspace as a PDF but once the tasked is saved as a Draft item, the task form displays as XDP. Not sure why this is occurring and can’t find any documentation on it. Any help would be appreciated.

Remote Service Authentication Problem

We are using LiveCycle server through Workspace over the Internet. When a document is opened for review, we frequently experience a recurring pop-up window called 'remote service authentication' which prompts for credentials after having logged in to Workspace. Sometimes this occurs at the beginning of a session and others it can happen after having been in for awhile and working on several documents.

If credentials are not accepted on the first try, it invariably keeps coming back and does not allow work to continue in the system (i.e.) no further comments can be published or retrieved. The workaround is to close LC, end the adobecollabsync.exe process via task manager and reset the browser cache. This is a significant source of frustration for our users.

We are wondering if this is due to a webdav sensitivity setting (polling perhaps) or something else that might be susceptible to network ebbs and flows.

Can the HTML Workspace Be Customized/Extended?

I've done an extensive amount of Flex development in the past and have done a lot of Flex Workspace customization even going as far as adding entirely new sections or removing existing sections. However, I'd like to customize the HTML Workspace by adding a new section. I've found a good amount of documentation on how to "customize" the HTML Workspace by editinng the CSS or updating JSON files to change/add/remove labels, etc but I have found nothing on how to do any real customizations such as adding new pages and more. Is this possible with the HTML Workspace at this time? What I'd like to do is add a fifth button the navbar atop the HTML Workspace that, when clicked, opens a new page within Workspace. I've also done an extensive amount of CQ development so I'm perfectly comfortable working in CRXDE Lite and working with packages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Shared queue question

I have set up shared queue for user A and user B, so they can see each other user's to do list. It works well when tasks assigned to users directly. E.g. a task assigned to user A and user B can see it from user A's shared queue. But if a task assigned to a group and user A claimed it and now the task is on user A's to do list. In this case, user B cannot see and claim the task from user A's shared queue. Why user B cannot see the claimed task from user A's list if the task is claimed from a group list? Is it possible to config the workflow so user B can see the claimed task? Thanks.

is there any chance to identifiy logged in workspace users? We recently had an issue which requires a server bounce and we would have to inform all users in a short period. I did not found any function within the admin ui which would support me to find out the active users.

Do anybody have an idea how to find them? We have roundabout 150 power user, 200 occasional user, and 1000 potential users...

Hide Navigation Panel of PDF

Hi ,

we have process flow which can be initiated , reviewed and completed thru Adobe Workspace .

Here whenever the user opens the form, PDF has Navigation panel like search, attachments , Thumbnails and document extension.

Instead of attachment Tab of workspace to attach the documents , There are few users using attachment of Navigation panel and that will create problem.

So is there any way to remove the attachment icon or Navigation panel via script.

Disable offline and save button in workspace

Dear all,

I am working on livecycle process management ES2, and I have a form that use the "Process Fields".

I used "Process Fields" because I need to know which button (those appeared in right bottom corner) that user have clicked.

But at the left bottom corner, there is a "Offline" button.

I want to hide/disable the button, or any other ways to stop the function of "Offline".

Can someone suggest a method? Any help is appericated.

Hi, we are using Adobe LiveCycle 2.5 with workspace, reader enabled PDF forms and the Correspondence Solution. Whe had recently an issue with a new (but not newest) Flash Player rollout. We had to restore the old version as some functionality between workspace and PDF forms did not work longer. Is there any list of Flash Player compatible with LiveCycle 2.5 (or a short one with issues)? That would help us to not step into the same problem within the next Flash Player release.

Write Form xml error as Stalled

I am trying to submit a form and be delivered to a LC process.

The form aubmission is worlking fine as it shows the delivered status with the process ID.

BUT the activity in LC : Write form xml is giving an error as STALLED.

Please help with the reason for this error and how to make the activity functional.

i have a form which doesn't have any schema or configuaration files..

i will fill all the mandatory fields in the form and i will click on complete button..

the form is submitted to approve but few fields are blank/reset to default values.

and in the form there is no scripting for these fileds except the WSDL data binding..

for security reasons i am not taging the form.

Any help could be appreciated...

Set the redirect page when SSO failed

Hi,

We have LC 2.5 with the SSO enabled.

When users failed to login via SSO, it seems that the system will re-direct to /um/login.

Is it possible that we could configure the behaviour so that

1. when user click the task notification, it will try the SSO and go to the workspace of that task

2. if user failed to login via SSO, can it rediect to the /worksapce/main.html page, they can input their user name and password for authentication ?

User unable to see Process under start

Hi,

We have a LCES2 SP2 server, which is integrated to LDAP for an Enterprise domain. We have one user who cannot see any processes under the category to Start.

There should be a process - we have confirmed that the user is in all the right groups and has the correct permission.

There are no obvious errors in the Log. Is there anyway to test the user?

Because the user has come from LDAP, it is very hard to see what the problem is. Is there any way to diagnose?

Hello All,

I know that there have been quite a few discussion on this but none of them seem to correlate to the set up that I have. I am currently using an xdp form and an xml variable. This error occurs when I attempt to start the process via workspace. In my action profile for the process I am using:
