Can't open my borrowed library book on my kobo touch

I have downloaded both adobe digital editions 2.0 and 1.7 and have authorized my device and my computer with my adobe id. it still won't let me open my borrowed epub book. it comes up as "oops! This document couldn't be opened...not currently authorized for use with your adobe id. please sign in with the authorized adobe id and try again.'

not sure what else to do, would really like to read a book with my ereader....

I need to SPEAK w/ a live person that can help me figure out why does my page doesn't turn.

Ever since I tried to add a second user to my Kobo Aura, I have not been able to open books downloaded from my local library. I've tried many fixes, and some of them have resulted in my Kobo showing ADE as de-authorized. Apparently I have exceeded the number of allowed authorizations, although all of them have been applied to a single device.

After reading through the help documents, maybe I need to have my activations reset. I don't know who to ask to do this.

The error message is Error! Check Activations. I upgraded Adobe Digital Editions to 4.0.101645 , using Windows 8.1 and Kaspersky antivirus.

I just upgraded to Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.1.101645 on my Windows 8.1 machine. The hardware is ASUS and the antivirus is Kaspersky. McAffee was bundled with the machine, I don't use it, but I don't know if it is completely removed.

I cannot add any new epub ebooks to my Adobe Digital Editions account, and so I can't access the ebooks from my local public library eBook & Audiobook Collections - eBooks & Audiobooks - Subject Guides at Vancouver Public Library after upgrading my Adobe Digital Editions as they suggested.

Can I roll it back to 4.0?

Can not view bottom part of pages that have large, or possibly whole page with one image. Having the problem with "The Jepson Manual"

Viewing "The Jepson Manual" on a Lenovo laptop running Windows 7, I am not able to access/view the bottom of pages that appear to be a single image. It is an ePub. I can view the page if I set the text size to very small, but then the image quality is so bad as to be useless.

I want to open e-books that i have downloaded on my e-reader. But when I try to open it it says:

This file can not be opened.

This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM) and is currently not accessible with you Adobe ID. Sign in with the autorized Adobe ID and try again.

I have authorized the pc and the -ereader with the same email adress, but on the site that i have dowloaded books from, I use two other adresses. Can anyone help me?

Can anyone help me with the following. I have borrowed an ebook from the library, downloaded it, transferred from ADE to my Kobo mini and authorised both the computer and the Kobo, but I can't open it to read on my ereader. I get a message saying that the document is protected by ADE and is not currently authorised, I thought I'd done everything - what have I missed? Any help most appreciated. Thanks

Having problems trying to download Cicerone Guide books I have purchased as epub books. Adobe Digital Editions 4.0 crashes every time I try to open a book. I've tried five times, and the same error message is displayed every time: "Adobe Digital Editions quit unexpectedly." There is no code or reference number, I just have the option to Ignore, Report or Reopen. I have a MacBook Pro, OS X, I just recently downloaded the software, and have never used it before today. How do I get it to work?

Hi there. I installed Nook for Mac, downloaded a book, and moved it from My Documents to ADE. As per instructions from someone on the nook forum. I actually use a Kobo reader, which is why I wanted to move it to ADE. When I tried to move or open the book in version ADE, I got a message saying I needed a user name and unlock code. Back I went to the Nook forum to find out what that is. The same kind person explained, but advised me to upgrade to version 4.whatever first. So I did. Now when I try to open or move that B&N epub book, I get an "ADE closed unexpectedly" error.

???

Thoughts. An epub is an epub, right? I should be able to open it.

Hello,

I have successfully set up overdrive on both my iPad and my iPod touch. I just got a new phone and am trying to set up overdrive on it. I am able to sign into my adobe account but when I go to the library to download my current books it says that these books are already downloaded on another device using a different Adobe ID. My problem is that I am signed into the same account so why won't it let me download it to my new device? I have double checked in my overdrive account that they are both signed into the same e-mail address. Also, when I sign into my overdrive account and look at registered devices only my cell phone is listed even though I download books with both the iPad and iPod.

Any advice is appreciated as I would like to not have to carry so many devices around just so I can have my books on hand. I can't live without books!

I cannot download books. It says cannot reach fulfillment server, please check internet connection. I have rebooted, upgraded ADE, turned internet off and on, still cannot connect.

I looked at Adobe's list of supported ebook devices/apps for use with Digital Editions and found that Mantano Reader--currently installed on my Galaxy Note 4--was on the list. I then followed the directions to connect the tablet to the computer on which the eBook is located with a USB cord. (The computer sees the tablet.) Then I opened Digital Editions per instructions, but the device doesn't show on the left side (or anywhere else) of the window. Therefore, I see no way to transfer my eBook to my tablet. Any ideas? I tried using Samsung Kies--the file isn't in a format that Kies sees.

My Sony PRST1 will max take 40 books (memory used = 7 percent). When I add a book it goes to the reader, but the former number 40 disappear. Sony says its an Adobe problem. What can I do?

My PC on which I had Digital Editions crashed and when I downloaded DE (from Kalahari.com) onto my new PC and tried to open my e-books I got a message E LIC ALREADY FULFILLED BY ANOTHER USER. I was told by Kalahari.com to de-authorise DE on my old PC before downloading it onto the new one but I can't because the old PC is kaput. I can't do anything on it; it's not working! How do I get DE to work on my new PC then?

I am very frustrated with Adobe Digital Editions at this time. When trying to read a book from my library on my ereader (Kobo Glo) I continue to get the message "Oops! This document couldn't be opened. This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM) and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. I have followed all of the instructions and I have even reinstalled the app onto my computer. When I check the authorization it is attached to my library card. Can someone please help me. I have several books checked out at this time and cannot read them on my ereader.

All of a sudden when I try to download ePUB library books to my KOBO I get an error message - document not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. I have reauthorized my device, but no luck. This has never happened before. Just before it happened, KOBO software was updated, and ADE software was updated.

I work for the public school system. We are being requested to deploy Adobe Digital Editions for reading digitial books. Last time I looked at ADE, about 2 versions ago, it was not possible to deploy this over the network easily.

Now I am being re tasked with this. Is it possible to deploy this software over the network, with a silent install? It must be hands free. I have up to 30,000 computers and i'm sure half of them will need it at minimum. I see nothing related to ADE 4.0 and deploying it so please help me out and let me know what the deal is.

Yes, I know, XP is obsolete, but we're migrating to 7 and still run XP machines. ;-)

Recently I had a computer crash (MacBookAir) and had to replace it (MacBookPro) and did a restore from the Time Machine. Since then I cannot borrow books from the public library; I get the following error message: E_ACT_NOT_READY. Any suggestion how to fix this?
