LC FTP component is slow when compared to JAVA ftp

Hi,

I am using LC Component FTP, it was taking lot of time for transferring file, when we try same file to FTP in JAVA taking less time.

Below are the component details:

Category: Foundation

Service Name: FTP

Service Operation: Put from file system

Is there any to speed up the FTP component or do we have any other component for this.

We have Livecycle Designer ES3 10.0.2 and I can't find any option to check for updates in the menu and I can't find updates on the Adobe downloads site.

How can we get 10.0.2 updated and patched with all the available updates or were there no updates ever made for this version?

Export/Migrate list of Users in DefaultDom in LiveCycle ES4

Hello All,

We are migrating applications from LiveCycle ES2.5 to LiveCycle ES4.

Currently we have set of users who have been added in DefaultDom in Admin UI manually before. Now, I want these set of users to be added in ES4 as well.

Can anyone please let me know if there is any way to export/migrate the set of users belonging to a DefaultDom domain as an object (or something which i can import into ES4) using any java API's(or any other workaround other than manually adding in Admin UI)?

Hello everyone, I am making a document that needs some formulating/scripting done in it and out of all the forums, I cant find anything to work.

This is what I have.

Field 1 (Value) Field 2 (Value) Field 3 (result); The result field will also round to the nearist thousands (Round((horsepower / weight)/.01)*.01; now after that I need another field to use the "if" statement to put a value in another field if the result matches the result field. I know I am making this complicated but let me show you what I have.

The first field is a numeric field that the user will input their horsepower.

The second field is a numeric field that the user will input their weight.

The third field is a numeric field that will auto sum the first to fields and round to the nearist thousands

(Round((horsepower / weight)/.01)*.01

All the steps above are working awesomely. The part I cant get to work is the "if" statement in the fourth Field.

I tried useing this code to make it work but i keep getting an error about the "ratio" field

I used this script with Formcalc and it works on everything else. I think the "round" formula is causing the problem. Also the elseif i used up to 0.35, so 35 lines of code.

Error re-trying Stalled Operation Error

Hi,

We have a solution that uses Workspace and assigns tasks to users/queues. Sometimes we get stalled operation errors and we re-try them after fixing whatever may have been wrong in our solution. We currently have one stalled operation error that does not re-try successfully.

We instead get the below error from adminui:

When looking at the error in the server log, this is the error we get:

ERROR [com.adobe.idp.jobmanager.execution.workadapter.JobStoreAdapter] (http-0.0.0.0-8080-1) Job not found for job id f05f87640a8b04077cc5f27ad1a1e817

Does anyone have an idea what may cause this kind of an error? Your input will be much appreciated.

Storing a PDF in a SQL database

I've seen a number of examples about how to link forms to a database or extract form data to save the a database, but I need to save a complete PDF with a digital signature in my database. I'm trying to call an existing MS SQL Server stored procedure from a LiveCycle process, but I'm having troube mapping data types between LC and SQL - document to varbinary(max).

There has to be a simple way to save a PDF from a LC process to a database. Has anyone done anything like this before?

How to import data from one PDF into another

I have a 10 page document created in ES4 and need the ability to import data from two separate pdf pages into the main 10 page document. The two PDF pages are just copies out of the main document but due to work flow process, these two pages need to be filled out beforehand. I know I can use the following code to import/export data.

xfa.host.importData();

xfa.host.exportData();

But, when this is done it wipes out everything else already typed into the main document. Is there a way other than using XML raw data to import data into an identical page? Think of the workflow process as an assembly line where parts of the car are assembled before they are put together to create the final product. That’s how the 10 page main form works. I would just add pages but there is a lot of back end programing to automate this document so I can’t easily split it up without issues.

I need to script a set percentage to an existing calculated total field in order to show a new field total with the set percentage applied. Total is already calculated in the form, but I'm not sure how to plug in the 2.25% to calculate for a final total.

We will redeploying this software to several computers when the users get their old PCs replaced. They had all been manually installed previously.

I found a command to do a silent install, msiexec /i "<path>\Designer\Designer.msi" /quiet /norestart SERIALNUMBER=XXXXXX

but I assume there will be a bunch of updates needed after installing from the original media files.

Is there a command for it to silently download and install all available updates right after installation?

Are there other ways to automate deploying LiveCycle ES3 will the newest patches?

CM Solution (ES3)...letter preview hangs

I'm having issues getting the letter preview from within the Correspondence Management Solution to launch. The UI just says "Loading Letter..." and nothing ever gets displayed. I assume this is an issue with Flex not being able to launch the Reader plugin via the Form Bridge. I don't see any javascript errors, however. Any ideas or thoughts on how to debug and/or resolve this?

Cannot deploy CorrespondenceManagementSolutionTemplate example on OSGI Felix

Hi guys,

I'd like to change some colours, styles etc in the Correspondence Management Solution and used the following tutorial:

To deploy my custom Correspondence Management Solution I used the following introduction:

After changing the required properties in build.properties etc. everything worked fine. I got a file template-correspondencemanagement-pkg.zip and tried to upload it to /lc/system/console.

However, an error message "You cannot select a .zip file. Try again...". appeared. I changed the file extension from .zip to .jar and got a Java Exception:

java.io.IOException: Bundle-SymbolicName header missing, cannot install bundle...

As far as I know, I need some information in META-INF/ indicating it's an osgi bundle, but where can i find these information and how to put them in the bundle?

Hi everyone,

I'd like to add a new font in CM & use it in the CM's Editor.

What I did so far:

installed the font on the server -> right click on font file & install
copied font file to custom font directory at D:/Adobe/font
add Font name "Frutiger LT Com 4 Light" to in CRX in file /content/cm/tbxeditor-config.xml
restartet LC 4 jboss server

The Server log just says:

When a user logs in to adobe livecycle Rights management, the data will be stored in some table. Can anyone please let me know the table name where this info is stored?

Also, I have created group of users in admin UI and I want to retrieve the group name in the process. Could anyone please let me know from which table can i get the info?

Correspondence Management - How to add new Locale

Hi everybody,

I'd like to add a new locale to CM. What I've done so far:

- copied locale (de_DE.dic & de_DE.aff) from LibreOffice to /content/cm/dictionaries/de_DE/

- added following line to /content/cm/AdobeSpellingConfig.xml

<LanguageResource language="French" ...

<LanguageResource language="English" ...

</SpellingConfig>

When I switch to ip:port/lc/content/cm/manageassets.html I'm not able to change to german dictionary. English/French locale is provided only.

Do I miss anything to configure?

Correspondence Management - Customizing bullet/numbering style

Hi everybody,

I'd like to customize the CM Editors View a little bit - the bullet/numbering-styling - to be exact. When I browse to "ip:port/lc/crx/de/index.jsp#/content/cm/" I found the file called "tbxeditor-config.xml". There I'm able to add/remove fonts, etc. But I couldn't find any hints to change bullet/numbering-styling e.g. changing from 1,2,3 to $1, $2, $3. Any ideas?

I want to create a duplicate table (button click by user) but instanceManager doesn't seem to work

I have a table that needs to be duplicated, in whole, not just adding a row, on the next page of a form.

Scenario: The user enters data (employment history) on the first table but requires an additional page with table to complete all work history.

1. I've created a simple table (Table1) wrapped in Subform_EmployHistory which is inside SubformMain_Page2. Theses are the object properties; which I haven't done anything to, yet.

Subform_EmployHistory is Flowed
Allow Page Breaks is unchecked

2. I've added a "Subform Instance Controls: Add" button object outside the table and its subform

3. Have tried to script the button to allow user to create a new page duplicating the table (not duplicating the data they entered on the first page) table but nothing seems to work.

4. What you see in the next screen clip has not had any script changed or added. Just what shows up when the instance control button is first placed on the page.

What should my script look like? Or, am I using the wrong approach altogether.

After some tests on adobe livecycle ES2 trial version , I identified a problem with pdf transformation. When we flattened the pdf, the images dissapeared (probably due to remote path), and charts werent displaying properly. After that, we tried the ES3 Version , and it worked fine, without any of those problems. My question is, was that issue fixed in the ES2? Will I be able to flatten pdf's properly using the ES2 platform? Or do I need to buy the ES3?

Hi,

We are geting "ALC-ACM-002-001" error in CMSA Asset Manager for a letter when we try to delete it.

It doesn't show any details on the Letter Edit screen and doesn't preview either. So at the moment you can't edit/delete, it is stuck. How to clear the system from this asset?

We are experiencing the following error (extracted from log files) when submitting a form in CMSA.

Issues with trial turnkey LiveCycle ES3 server installation

Hello experts

I am having all sorts of problems with Trial Windows x64 turnkey version of LiveCycle ES3 server.

During installation I got some errors (they were not descriptive at all) but process has been finalized (no errors in install logs). At the moment I am faced with following issues:

1) Reader Extensions module does not want to start (see my other post http://forums.adobe.com/message/4633599)

2) Workspace module does not start, I only get to see busy icon/animation (rotating circle)

3) Workbench does not want to connect to LiveCycle server. I am getting following message:

Can someone help me to try and understand whats happening?

I am making an estimate sheet with an add/ remove instance subform labeled "Instance". I can add and remove the forms with no problem. Within the instance is a numerical field called "Price". I need to SUM total the Price field on every instance that I add. Also, if I remove one of the instances, I need it to deduct from the total (I read there were errors with this).

These are the scripts I have in each field:

I might be off by a few characters. I am a beginner with javascript/ livecycle, so I pretty much Frankensteined this code. Addinstance isn't something I can accomplish with Acrobat Pro alone. So I'm thrown into the fire w/ Livecycle.

I have searched in and out of google, this forum and livecycle help. I can't figure this problem out. Help will be extremely appreciated!

Why doesn't Submit By Email button launch Microsoft Outlook 2010

Microsoft Outlook 2010 Standard Edition doesn't launch even though set as Default Mail Client when Submit By Email button is clicked in PDF Form designed in life cycle. What's up? Assume default mail client is properly configured and registry is checked and fixed for any errors. Still Outlook doesn't launch. Microsoft doesn't say much about this; is this a LiveCycle problem?

Everything works except when I try to open http://localhost:8080/cmContentCreator/.

Missing DDC files

Hi Guys,
I downloaded the solution accelerator (enrollment) yesterday (again!) and i'm not finding the DDC related files that the index.htm talks about in the docs.

As of now I could just submit a pdf form and got that approved through approval workflow (from enrollment accelerator). As per my understanding there is much more than just this in this accelerator. Is it true?

Please advise.
