Illustrator to Photoshop image size difference?

I need a logo at a certain pixel size.

I created the logo in Illustrator CC at the size needed.

When I import it to Photoshop so I can extrude the logo in 3d and then rotate it...the image size is larger than it was in Illustrator.

Speed of frame animation changes after exporting into video or converting into timeline animation, why?

Hello,

I'm trying to do an animation in Photoshop CS5 over a mp3-file that has to be in sync with the music. When I play it back as frame animation to the music coming from an external source it all is perfectly in sync. But when I export it as a movie-file or try to convert it into a timeline animation (that contains the song as a videolayer) the animation speeds slightly up and does not fit anymore. Is there anything I can do about that?

I would be very happy, if anyone could help me with that problem.

When I "save for web" a gif animation in photoshop its optimized at 72k. I then check it in file manager and its 102k???!!!

I am a hobbyist photographer, this is my first experience with Adobe. I am having a hard time trying to get my photos from my computer to photoshop. I can open them individually but I can not figure out how to move my whole album to do edits! Any advice? Or any tips??

When I try to use the clone stamp tool it seems it will paint over light colored areas but not dark colored areas. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a limiting characteristic built into this tool?

I have already seen a few questions raised about this, but no answers as yet. I have just installed Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Bridge CC and the new Photoshop consumes almost all of my 12GB of RAM, slowing the entire system (current model iMac). I am faced with having to remove CC, revert back to CS5 and write-off the 12 month CC subscription I have paid for -- though hoping an answer has been found. I did note in one forum that Adobe implied we are imagining this problem. Terrific!

Hello!

I designed my whole website in Photoshop. I used trim --> transparent pixels to export only logo. After that I closed my PSD file and now I can not revert it back to my whole design. How can I do this? My website is currently cropped to size of the logo and can not revert it back.

I'm using CS6 photoshop as an animation software and I'm new to the process. When I try to draw on the next frame, the paintbrush draws in a see through colour.... as if the drawing tool itself has an onion skin.

I am following a tutorial about Line Art.

I have to achieve the highlighted (yellow) settings in this image from the tutorial.

Path Operations and Auto Add/Delete are the only ones I can find.

The other two I cannot.

Also, what do you think about these settings from making HQ Line art? Would you recommend other settings? Why?

Photoshop Elements 11 - drag selection from photo to photo in bar below does not work

Hi,

When opening a photo it appears in a bar below, when opening a second one, I could make a selection with the Lasso - Selection Tool and drag this to the first picture below in the bar. Thereafter the FIRST picture would automatically pop up WITH the selection on it from the second.

For some reason I can not drag it any more to the picture below, It is like it does not accept it or like the first picture does not respond to the action?

Help would be appreciated since I don't know how to continue working with it.

I've googled solutions for the problem and most of them say that I need to close down the other programmes I have open, as well as photoshop, and then restart the programme so I tried this and nothing seems to work. The hand tool by itself works but I much prefer using the spacebar shortcut as I need to work fast and it's much easier.

Is there a way I need to activate the spacebar shortcut seeing as I bought the software this morning?

I am wanting to use the picture frame feature to create a card and when I go to "fill" the "scripted" scroll menu option is not there like I see on all of the tutorials. I have just updated my program tonight and this seems to be something that was available before I purchased my version so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I have recently been editing textures from 3D models, but when I open the texture, black lines appear on my screen, displaying a texture map over the actual texture. This is not a layer, or something I can turn off in Window settings, and resetting my Photoshop settings does not help (Photoshop CC).

Is there a way to turn this off as it is interfering with what I am trying to do greatly.

I am really getting frustrated with Adobe's site. This is the 5th time I have tried to enter this question only to be sent to another form! (rant off)

Look, I am trying to buy a version of "plain old Photoshop". I'm not interested in a Creative Cloud nor monthly recurring charges. It used to be possible to pay large bucks and get a copy of Photoshop to run on your computer. Is this no longer available? I use a macBook Pro Retina, OS X Yosemite.

More specifically, I will be using raw files that I will be attempting to create a composite image from. From that image, I would then need to produce smaller jpeg files for my client. Is the transform function used in this process? I have found no information so far at all on this one way or the other.

I often have to skew and crop images of varying degrees of distortion. I have looked at the comprehensive action written by Jeffrey Tranberry and discussed elsewhere in this forum but that does not meet my needs. I am looking for something much simpler.

I want to create an action that once I open an image, I just press a key combination (e.g. ctl-F12) and Photoshop takes me to the point where the image is selected and I just need to move the image corners to skew.

So, I try this in the create new action dialog:

Name = SkewCrop

Set = Default actions

Fn key = clt=F12

Color = None

I hit the record button, then

ctl-A (to select all of the image)

Edit

Transform

Skew

Now this is the point at which I want the action to stop, but Photoshop (CC) will not let me until I click somewhere in the image (presumably to complete the action). So i do this. Buit when I launch the action, everything works except that I end up with the "Move" pointer selected - which is a real pain.

Can anyone suggest a way to achieve my simple aim?

Don't replace missing fonts

Usually when you don't have a font and you click on a text section it shows a message "You don't have a font blah blah do you want to replace font XX with font blah blah".

Today I worked on two psd's and both had the "Some fonts are missing and will be automatically replaced" message when I tried to open them. I had 3-4 missing fonts but only 1 of them was replaced automatically (when I clicked on the section the name of the font was different than the original) and the even stranger thing is I had other text sections with that font that were with the original font.

Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0.6 (13.0.6 20131025.r.54 2013/10/25:21:00:00) x64

Operating System: Mac OS 10.9.4

I hope you have understood what my problem is and have any ideas on how to solve it or explain this strange to me behaviour.

I am having an issue where I try to print out a flyer I have reworked and it will not print it. An error message pops saying "Adobe Photoshop has stopped working, window will send you a fix IF there is one. Photoshop will now shut down."

I can print out new creations, but not old ones where I have tweaked them.

I'm running Win 8 with CS6 and I'm trying to import video. Bridge recognises the video and can play it (MP4) but when opening into CS6 I get the error message "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document". I have watched a few videos about opening a "timeline" window but this still doesn’t let me bring video onto CS6. AVI files won’t load either. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I am a web designer and I am trying to find a way forward in using Photoshop CC on my Macbook Pro (late 2013). I have found posts that say you can open photoshop CS6 in "Low Resolution" however I cannot find the same option in Photoshop CC. Zooming my design comps by 200% surely is not the answer.

Hi,

I am very new to Photoshop CC and need some assistance. I've been learning, via a few tutorials, how to dodge and burn. One of the techniques I like is when you create a new layer and then fill it with 50% gray. The last few times i tried it the thumbnail fills with gray on the right side panel. however, the last time i tried it, the check board stays after i've made the fill. I really like the gray look. how can i change it back from the check board look?

When I work with big size picture, I like to use Space + Left Mouse Button for moving. But in the last version of Photoshop, I don't know why, document moving away like in Zoom action, after that I have frame - when I want to move. How do I remove this distancing?

Hi,

First off, I am using a Mac (OS X ver. 10.9.2) and Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop (2014). I just downloaded the preset pack off VSCO for Adobe Camera RAW and I am having trouble getting it to work.

When I try to launch the "Camera Raw Filter", I get the message 'Could not complete the Camera Raw Filter command because of a disk error.' (this also happens sometimes when i try to import the RAW files into photoshop...I don't know if it's the way i'm importing them or what...?)

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing photoshop cc several times and restarting my computer and have searched online but cannot find anything at all to help me (or i just don't understand, urgh).

Please help!

When I go to Edit > Fill and choose "Pattern". I check the "Script: box and click the drop-down arrow. The following display: Brick Fill / Cross Weave / Place Along Path / Random Fill / Spiral /

Symmetry Fill ------ but NOT Tree.

What is wrong? I've reset everything - still no Tree.

Please help.

im having issue saving for web, firstly it pops up an error box saying cant preview the image as too large or something, then i slick save anyway and ot says cannot do as not enough scratch disk memory

now I've gone in and changed preferences and allowed PS to use all my memory, i have heaps of room on my computer, so i have no idea what its doing this for?\

I have had it save for web before but now it wont for some reason.

Help with error code on actions.
