Deleting Add-ons

Hello,

Some time ago I installed these add-ons in Indesign: Time-tracker and Blurb-book creator. I just did it for a trial. And I din't like them. Not useful for me. So I delete them using the Extension manager. But what happend: each time when I start my computer and the creative cloud, these add-ons are installed again. And again... and again....

How can I, for ever, delete these add-ons? I really don't want them.

Why not putting an uninstall-button on the Add-ons page?

If any-one have good suggestions, they are welcome.

I recently purchased a product through extendstudio.com and have not received the link to download the product nor have I received a response from anyone through their blog. I noticed that Adobe is affiliated with them and thought this would be a way to get some kind of help since I haven't received a response from them. Also I noticed their are others on their blog that is complaining about similar issues. I realize this is not Adobe's issue but I'm beginning to think they are out of business and people are getting duped by purchasing their products, I hope that I'm wrong but if anyone know anything please let me know.

Greetings,

I have just purchased an add-on (Soft Pastel Presets) and followed all instruction but it did not download to my creative cloud file on my computer. In looking anywhere, I have no link, no confirmation with link--I did receive confirmation of the purchase from Adobe as well as PayPal but not the actual thing I purchased with a link. So I have no file to unzip and install. Any suggestions on what to do to find and download it is greatly appreciated!

believe it or not, it is impossible to get the Add-ons. As soon we click on the price immediately Adobe Exchange will open. We do not get the Checkout dialog with the pay options. We see on https://www.adobeexchange.com/partners/56752 "My Products" where we could publish our own add-ons.

What a ****. Why there is not a regular payment and ordinary download? AND THERE IS NO POSSIBILITIES TO GET HELP

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we just provided another way to install Add-ons, this is primarily if you encounter an install problem when using the Creative Cloud desktop app, then we now have an alternative way to install. We have also made it more discoverable. You can now find it in 2 places:

1. In My Add-ons (Click on "Install issues?" and if the Add-on is compatible with CS6 and you want to use it specifically for CS6 now you can! Just click the blue text "Install for CS6" which will take you to a direct download for use with Adobe Extension Manager CS6.

2. In the Where to find it section after you have acquired a product. Look at the "Install another way" section for details.

We also have a new troubleshooting check list.

It's not as slick as using the Creative Cloud Desktop app but it should work.

Clicking Download Add-on for that Add-on downloads a zxp file. You need to have Adobe Extension Manager installed to then unpack the zxp.

Please read the Where to find it section of that Add-ons for next steps once the Add-on has been installed via Extension Manager and please ensure you are using the compatible version of Extension Manager for that Add-on, so for instance if it's for CC or CC 2014 apps you need Extension Manager 7.2 or later. If it's for CS6 you would need Extension Manager CS6, there are links on the page to download Extension Manager.

Hello all !

I am using this as the hostlist in my manifest.xml :

And my extension won't install anymore (from Adobe Add-ons). I get a -411 error "no compatible CC application was found", even though I have Photoshop CC 2014.2.1 installed.

Please note that :

- Everything worked fine when hosts versions were [15.0,15.9]

- Plugin also installed when in dev mode (publishing to the CEP folder directly), that's how I know 2014.2 is 15.2

Is that a known problem ?

Any suggestions for a simple inexpensive add-on to use?

I realize that Photoshop CS6 can do all that - but PS Express is so much faster.

Cutting Master Add-On for AI

Error Code Add On annoying notification

How can I get rid of this annoying notification, popping up since two weeks. I' ve already tried what Adobe suggested.

I installed the old CS 6, I installed the add on but sit this notification is popping up after every restart.

Error Code: -403, -411

Compatible CC app not found.

Solution: Install a compatible Adobe application before installing Add-ons.

Once the application is installed, try installing the Add-on again. To do this, go to My Add-ons, find the add-on, and if it is already installed, first click Remove. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install.

Here you see, that there is no "remove" button available.

Why Am I getting this error: "downloading theme switcher has failed, retrying"

Every time I try to install or download an add-on I get this error message: "downloading theme switcher has failed, retrying". However, and for what ever reason, the PS tools add-on did download and install successfully. Any Ideas?

Error Re-opening Self-Signed Extensions on OS X

I offer several free and paid self-signed extensions through Add-Ons. Some users have been reporting a peculiar error: users are usually able to open the extension once but when they close and re-open the extension again, the panel is completely empty.

From info from users, this is showing up on OS X (reported in 10.9.5) both in CC 2013 & 2014. Although it's not happening consistently across all machines with those same specs. The machine reporting the error, however, it happens consistently.

We've discovered two work-arounds:

1. Uninstalling and re-installing the extension will allow it to open it once (but then it reverts to the empty panel after closing and re-opening)

2. Changing the ~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.CSXS.4.plist file by adding PlayerDebugMode, of type String, and value 1 then restarting OS X also fixes the issue.

Neither of these work-arounds are ideal. Has anyone else had this problem? Are there any solutions?

Add-ons in Extension Manager cc incorrectly shown in Photoshop cc 2014

I started with Photoshop cc and downloaded several Add-ons which I used, particularly Adobe Watermark. When Photoshop cc 2014 was released we realised that the majority of these Add-ons would not work in this new edition of Photoshop. Consequently I have to also run Photoshop cc as well to allow me to use these Add-ons.

If I open Adobe Extension Manager, and select under Products I see a list of all the Add-ons that work in Photoshop cc, which is correct. However if I select Photoshop cc 2014 I see a long list ( 16 Add-ons) which have enabled ticked by the side of the name. Only 5 of these actualy show in Photoshop cc 2014, so something is wrong here.

I assume that Adobe Watermark is an Adobe product, so when are Adobe going to sort this out, and the problem in Adobe Extension Manager?

It's a good idea to ask for stuff you can't currently see on the Add-ons website. With thousands of producers, that Add-on may already exist and could then be submitted and shared. So users, get asking and producers please reply if you can help or know of an Add-on that can!

I'm trying to make my ZXP with a selfsigned certificate, using the ZXPSignCmd found here Download Extension Builder 3 - Adobe Labs

First I make a selfsigned certificate, according to the instruction:

C:\Users\Sam\Downloads\win64>ZXPSignCmd.exe -selfSignedCert US NY MyCompany MyCommonName password FileName.p12

Self-signed certificate generated successfully

Then I try to use this certificate to sing my app.

C:\Users\Sam\Downloads\win64>ZXPSignCmd.exe -sign MyApp MyApp.zxp FileName.p12 password

Signed successfully

Then I try to verify if everything was OK:

C:\Users\Sam\Downloads\win64>ZXPSignCmd.exe -verify MyApp.zxp

Error - Failed to verify signature. Signature might have been tampered with.

I'm running a Windows 7 64bit windows, and tried with both the 32bit and the 64bit version of the tool.
"MyApp" in this case is just a name I use instead of "com.domain.myapp.extension".
I've tried using it with the full com.domain... path but that didn't work either.

I've seen people adding -tsa https://timestamp.geotrust.com/tsa to the sign command, but that gives the following error:

Error - the timestamp returned from the chosen TSA could not be verified, so the ZXP created is likely to be rejected by other tools. Please recreate your ZXP with a different trusted TSA.

Tried this with http://tsa.safecreative.org but that didn't work either.

I don't really know any other TSA. My firewall is turned off btw.

Can anybody help me out creating this ZXP file?

Hi question as in need for a helping hand...

- I am a registered user on the CC 2014, I'm able to download and install several Adobe exchange extensions for free, though the one, the texture one, the 1st one listed under free and created by Russel B. is for me, for one strange reason, as a paying CC user NOT AVAILABLE.

Adobe gives me this message underneath the info of that extension:

-----"Please note: This panel is only available to paid members of the Adobe Creative Cloud."

So any idea why I, as a paying customer am not allowed to install that extension?

Seems like I'm probably missing something somewhere........ any idea... TX!

Hi, I plan to do some serious development on adobe exchange platform. I'm wondering whether it has license control already, or I need to implement my own license control within the plug-in (then there is a need for encryption, etc, which I think Adobe does not like).

Will Adobe CC verify that a user indeed purchased the plug-in before enable it? I'm afraid people just copy and distribute the plug-in illegally outside exchange, like during the old days.

MyColorPicker is a free color picker that is simple, very compact, yet has some unique features.

I did it to fit my needs of color picking for painting, and thought it did it quite well, so I figured I'd share it with you!

- Colors of a given tint are displayed so that all colors on a horizontal line have the same luminosity

- Luminosity doesn't change when changing tint (hue) or saturation

- You can drag H/S/L sliders to quickly adjust any of the three without affecting the others

- Fine tune your color by using keyboard shortcuts

- Big current / previous color swatches so you know what color you're using

- Not modal (stays there all the time)

- Of course, like the other third party color pickers, it modifies Photoshop foreground color, and reversly updates when you change Photoshop's foreground color

- It will works nicely with Photoshop native color picker and color panel

I have developped an extension that I thought I could share with the community, and saw that adobe provides quite a neat platform to do it with almost no effort on my side

Only thing is, where can they discuss my extension ?

I don't think mail is a good idea, because that makes you allways answer the same questions, so a forum is a lot better.

I saw you suggest that they do it here.

But then messages about all extensions will be mixed up.

How can I subscribe to just the messages with my extension ? I don't want to be notified for all messages for all extensions !

- Maybe I could start a specific thread for my extension and tell people to go there. Not very nice but looks simplest. Would that be ok with you ?

- Maybe there is a way to subscribe to just a tag / keywords ? That would be better I think.

- Actually best would be a sub-space (and maybe a bug tracking system ? Christmas is not so far )

Right now, after I submit a product, my products get approved the next business day early in the morning, no matter when I submit it. A one business day turn around is actually pretty decent, but the thing is that a lot of my addons are created based on customer requests, and may be created and submitted shortly after the request was made. Right now, that means I have to bookmark forum threads or emails so that I can go through the next day to notify the customer where to get it, which ends up being a bit of overhead for me, and several times I've considered just skipping the exchange altogether and using my own site/service to do it (especially since I work with Muse Widgets, which have a funky install process at the moment). And especially for patches and bug fixes, this is more users downloading a potentially bugged product the longer I have to wait?

Is there anyway that I can improve the time it takes to be approved? Even if just for patches or spelling mistake fixes to product info? Is there some sort of "auto-approve" list or something that I could jump through some hoops to qualify for?

Can't upload files >15MB?

Using Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 and trying to install Imagenomic's Portraiture & Noiseware add-ons. Both show as installed when viewing my adobe add-ons page, but neither are showing up under filters in the program itself. When trying to install through the extension manager, I get the error "This extension cannot be installed because licensing verification failed."

it is not listed in the Window > Extensions menu
you're having hard times understanding the Creative Cloud App / Add-ons website messages (acquired, installed, whatever)
you think something should happen and it doesn't

I mean: you want our stuff (free or paid), for sure we want you to have it. Add-ons / CC still has some glitch, we can make it, believe me.

If the automatic installation via Add-ons for some reason doesn't work, you can download the installer yourself: click on "Where to Find it", then below "Trouble Installing your Add-on" there is a link that says "Download / install your Add-on another way".

If that is broken we can mail you the installer, or troubleshooting your problem - it's part of our job.

Product development is our job. Testing is a pretty awful part of that job yet we do it because we care. There is people on the other side, Adobe's employees, who receive our submissions and test them before publishing our products.
