HI,

I am running OS 10.9.5, I am trying to update Flash, have done an uninstall of flash, have tried to boot in safe mode, have tried to install offline. The best I can get is 97% then it hangs up. I have been dealing with this headache for 3 weeks and finally called Apple and they referred me to you. I need help, I need to access sites to get some work out asap. Thanks in advance.

This morning (11-13-14), upon booting my computer, I received an ordinary update request from Adobe FlashPlayer. I get these pretty frequently. Normally, they update quickly and work just fine. So I clicked Update. Update completed successfully. However, now my Flash Player is completely gone.

So I followed the manual install instructions. Downloaded

install_flashplayer15x32_mssd_aaa_aih.exe

I doubleclicked the file as instructed, and it installed successfully, according to the on-screen messages. However, when I try to do anything that requires Flash Player, Firefox still claims that there is no Flash Player installed.

One of the troubleshooting instructions on the Adobe Flash Player website said to download the uninstaller for Flash Player and then reinstall. I did that. Exact same result. Flash Player is not installed and does not exist. No error messages. Everything claims to be successful, but the player just doesn't seem to exist.

Next attempt: Downloaded the full 17.0 MB file (install_flash_player.exe), download completes successfully. Install Successful. Same result. --- no Flash Player.

I attempted the install instructions again trying a couple different things including 1) shutting down all other programs during the install process and 2) rebooting the computer after the install process. None of these additional instructions helped. Same result. No Flash Player.

I use Firefox for everything. So I tried IE just for fun. Oddly, Flash Player in IE works fine. *sigh* Flash Player for Firefox still does not.

Any suggestion are appreciated.

System:

OS: Windows 7 Pro SP1

Browser: Firefox 33.1

Hi,

Once again we have Windows 7 64 Bit edition and we use SCCM 2007 to push our programs packages. We use Internet explorer 10 for Navigator.

We have package the latest flash who is version 15.0.0.223 and when we arrived to delete the folder in c:\windows\syswow64\macromed there is always a file .ocx that we cant delete unless we closed internet explorer.

The previous versions let us delete that folder to install the new one but not that one, do you have an idea?

i have recently had to wipe my partners laptop it is an older laptop and using xp when i reinstalled windows half of the drivers where missing i had put the drivers back on to the laptop but now i need to install flash player as the laoptop doesnt have it the problem is then i will download in the browser but when i click run to install it on the laptop it opens up but all i am left with is a gray application with adobe flash player instilation but it wont do anything or display andything i have closed all of my prosessors in the task manager incase it didnt close the ones it needed to but still nothing please help

Adobe Flash Player doesn't work on my browser. Even though I try to uninstall and reinstall, it didn't work like it did not exist. Could somebody help me how to fix this problem?

I tried updating my adobe flash player and every time I installed it, and from all my three browsers, it remains blank when the "Adobe Flash Player Installer"

comes up and I cannot do anything. I just have to log off because it won't close. I tried uninstalling all my adobe stuff in my computer and still nothing will install and now I can't watch no youtube videos and it's just so annoying. Please help! (Picture below of issue)

I recently downloaded an update for Flash for my Mac from the Adobe website with the following file name:

AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_15au_ltrosxd_aaa_aih.dmg

It seemed to install normally and I haven't had an issue with it. When I was updating Flash on my work computer (also a Mac), I download a file with an almost, but not quite identical, title:

AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_15_ltrosxd_aaa_aih.dmg

Is this something that I should be worried about? Is one of them a trojan/malware? Is the disappearing "au" significant? Or is there a more straightforward, blindingly obvious answer to my question that I haven't thought of?

During the download process to get the latest version of Adobe Flash, Step 1-2, work, so I am able to download and save to my computer, run file, but step 3 doesn't populate to finalize install. The process itself is running on my CPU, and when I try to download again, I get an message: (Only a single instance of application can run). Nothing else is available to finalize install, so it seems to be stuck on step 2. I can not solve this solution, and need help from an expert!

I have tried to update my flash player for a couple of months now and every time it gets to about 30% and then it says "Connection lost. Trying to connect…" or something like that and then it just stops. I have a Mac, version 10.7.5, and Safari version 6.1.6. Every time I have just waited until the next time it reminds me, but today I noticed that my version was so old that it started to become a problem. I tried again to update it and the same thing happened. So I found, in my "Launchpad" that i had an uninstall flash player program so I uninstalled it but I still have the same problem when I try to install it again. Oh, and yes my internet connection is great, that can definitely not be the problem, so I don't know what connection it is talking about.

I am experiencing this very strange problem where my flash player folder is not the flash player but links to my root menu. I have tried downloading the new version of flash many times but it doesn't work.

I am a long term Adobe user, and creative cloud subscriber. I am used to Adobe products at times offering to install other unrelated items, generally bloatware that are useless, or commercial tie-ins. No big deal, the install scripts allow you to omit it. Shame on you for making it default to include, but no big deal.

However, this morning I got a popup "update flash", clicked on it, and with NO DIALOG WHATSOEVER the exe that it downloaded began and completed installing software from McAfee.

Again NO DIALOG TO CHOOSE TO OMIT IT.

That, to me is entirely unacceptable. I am posting this note to warn others of this apparent change in policy, and to suggest to Adobe that this is unethical.

Since McAfee is known in its corporate products for installing products that cannot be easily removed, now I have to wonder if un-installing from the control panel was complete. Or what else McAfee has left behind.

I still think one should opt in instead of opting out -- but even opt out is better than just shoving software down our throats without an option to say no.

Shame on you Adobe. Shame.

As if it were not enough to receive constant flash player updates anouncements, the last one came with a surprise. This time Adobe didn't allow me to choose whether to install mcafee or not (btw shame on you Adobe for making me to have to uncheck that box every time). A pop up window shown up with the download status of both Flash player update and mcafee, and installed it without asking. Why should I have to loose my time having to uninstall mcafee? Why should I have to loose my time having to uncheck that box every other time? How do I know Mcafee has not left anything in my computer after uninstall? I have my own antivirus, so please, just stop annoying your users with that kind of annoying behaviour.

PS: I don't install anything automatically before checking how it was for other users, so save your advices on enable updates automatically.

Cannot install ANY Adobe products. Downloader name ends in .mdlp and this is exactly the ending used for some Matlab scripts. Ends up running Matlab and not installing. Acrobat, Flash Player, etc. Any way around or goodbye adobe?

Hi-

Hopefully someone can help. I'm using a PC, using Safari 33.0.3 (update available, I know), running Windows 7.

Right now, version 15.0.0.152 Flash Player is installed. I'm able to download the install file, open it, and the security window comes up

and I hit 'run'. Then the user account window opens and asks if I want to make changes and I hit yes.

Then the Install Flash Player window comes up with just a gray background and nothing happens. Tried multiple times, closed Firefox,

followed all the troubleshoots I could find. I even uninstalled Flash Player to see if I could load from scratch and the same install window

comes up and nothing happens.

Any help?

I am trying to install the new version and it doesn't work.

I manage to download the file from the website but then when I load the installer, it loads to 25% or 30% and then a message appears saying that connection was lost.

My internet works just fine, I've never had connection issues.

Any idea what that might be?

I can not figuar out how to install this. I did have it installed now it is gone? when I hit install it says to close enternet explorer and that is how I had gotten there in ing first place and I am not able to do both. when I hit install for enternet explorer the same thing comes up. Why won't this download. I went to manage add ons and everything was enabled but it still does not work. I have just wasted an hour trying to do this. Probable to see something I do not want to see in the first place but you never know. Help.

I have here a serious problem under 64bit Win7.

More and more frequently a popup appears prompting me (or even start download without prompt!!)if a new flash player should be installed.

When I proceed it shows the progress bar and downloads the package and installation started until the "done" button is shown.

Then I re-open Internet Explorer 9 again and re-vist the last webpage and ....the download starts again.

This is really annoying.

Had Adobe Flash Player on my desktop (Dell Vostro 420) and it stopped working. Tried to download and install replacement Adobe Flash Player, unsuccessful. Most of the time, "run" was not one of the choices. I only had "open" or "save" If I tried open, it then wanted to know what program to open it with. Don't know. If I saved, then I tried to run it from my download file and sometimes it started, but would not finish. Sometimes it finished installing, but then would not work. Don't know how to fix the problem. Have run CCleaner and avg and Malwarebytes, but if there is a virus in my computer, none have been found.
Sometime got a message that I needed to exit IE in order to install. Used control/alt/delete to turn off all running programs except install and still had above problems.

Can anyone help?

I've had multiple attempts to update my adobe flash player, as requested, since updating my MacBook Pro to Yosemite MacOS 10.10

After multiple attempts to install after Safari browser is quit, I tried uninstalling all flash players, and attempting to download and install to the same error during installation at 76%: Unable to proceed with the installation. I went to my privacy/security settings and made sure that downloads are allowed by the app store and third parties. What else can I do? Thanks for your help in advance!

Thanks for your assistance ... I will try any good suggestions you have. Please note the following:

I really don't understand the previous information provided by "samclean" ..... I did not submit an error report that generated those diagnosis.
I get the same flash error when using Internet Explorer, so I'm not convinced that this is Firefox related. I'm thinking that it's more likely an issue between Vista and Flash.

Tried to install newest version of flash player when prompted.

Flash installer says that Safari is open and it can not continue, so I check my tasks and Safari is not open. I open safari and then close it with CMD+Q to ensure all instances are closed. This does not work.

Restart my computer to ensure that safari isn't open. Attempt installation again with fresh restart. Flash installer says that Safari is open and it can not continue.

Can not install newest version of Flash, nor can I locate information pertaining to this issue.

Any help is appreciated (assuming that it's not a problem with the latest installer which will be remedied shortly).

I am having troble install Flash Player 15. It will download and begin to install but quits and gives me an error message saying "user does not have sufficient rights to install" I have one account on my PC and I am the administrator. I have tried downloading in FireFox opened as "run as administrator" and get the same error. I tried in safe mode...no luck there either. I do have Adobe Shockwave installed but I cannot get Flash Player to install. HELP! I am running Windows 7 on a Dell Deminsion E-520 with 4GB RAM, 2.13 Ghtz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. I have also tried in Explorer and Chrome...same results.

Hi - I created a presentation in Presenter 9 that contains audio recordings, published it as a pdf and sent it to my client's offices all over the U.S., as well as Japan, Belgium, Germany, South America and France. No one has had an issue viewing/hearing the presentation except one office, located in California. When they try to open it, they get the following message:

"To view the flash technololgy content in this pdf file, please install the required version of flash player."

Because of the message, and the fact that everyone else can open the presentation, I think the issue is related to the version of Flash Player the CA office is using, and that it is not a "Presenter" problem. The operating system and software details are as follows:

Windows 7 Pro SP1, 64-bit

Internet Explorer 11.0.13, 32-bit

Adobe Reader XI Version 11.0.09

Acrobat 9 Pro Version 9.0.0

Adobe Flash Player 15 ActiveX

I would welcome any advice you might have. This is difficult for me to troubleshoot as I am not having the problem, my client is.

Hi, I wonder if you can help.

I have an iMac running OS X Yosemite v. 10.10 and am having problems installing flash player.

I have tried multiple times.... all I get is a black screen.

I have uninstalled Flash player (and checked to see if it's gone...)

I have ticked the box 'allow apps downloaded from Mac App Store and identified developers...

I have shouted at my mac, torn my hair out and bitten my nails down to the quick... none of these things seem to be working.

I have a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5. And I'm running on Safari 6. I have been trying to download the FlashPlayer update for the Adobe Flash Player Installer 15 for the past week. When I click on "Install Adobe Flash Player" the download box pops up. It asks for my password, which I enter the box shakes showing that I entered the wrong password. I have changed my password for Adobe and my administrator password. And still nothing. And I cannot uninstall it as I apparently don't have the correct password.
