Unable to sync due to server error

I keep on getting server error on a 25MB PSD file sync to Creative Cloud. The main Creative Cloud desktop app says "Unable to sync files" and when I click on "Learn more" I get a dialog saying "Unable to sync <file name> due to server error". Perhaps one in 20 syncs goes through OK, but most of the time it does not. This is frustrating to say the least, now I basically have to create JPG from the file and share it via Dropbox, rendering CC file sharing useless for me.

Creative Cloud Files – Syncing issues/Bandwidth hogging – Does it ever work?

Having been a Dropbox user for several years I was keen to start using the 100gb of Creative Cloud storage to enable me to work on a project from home and pick up where I left off in the office.

However it simply doesn't work properly!

For example:

I worked from home on Monday and Tuesday on a project. All the files were successfully uploaded from my home Mac within seconds/minutes. I came into work on Wednesday and the files had not appeared in my CC Files folder. I rebooted my Mac and paused and restarted the sync and left it running, a couple of the files appeared but the process seems to hang fairly quickly. I've left it running overnight and my files have still not synced! the status bar at the bottom of the CC app shows "Syncing file 7 of 181 (9hr left)" but it never gets any further.

When syncing is switched on and running the process kills all the bandwidth of my work Mac causing outgoing emails to spend up to an hour in my outgoing mail queue, slowing web browsing to a crawl, hampering any other web usage/downloads/streaming/remote access etc. To prevent this I changed the preferences to only allow CC 50% of the available upload and download bandwidth.

I have repeatedly logged out/rebooted my Mac, closed and relaunched the CC app, paused and restarted the sync process and run the

rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/CoreSync/options.tix

command in Terminal as suggested in another thread.

The files I am syncing are not even that large, in total I am only using around 3% of my storage.

Am I on my own in experiencing these issues? Or are other people suffering too?

Multiple issues with Creative Cloud File Syncing

I'm have issues with syncing files on my mac to Adobe Creative Cloud. I don't seem to have issues syncing via drag and drop to my web browser. I keep getting this error while syncing via finder:

I also have a fairly complex PSD with folders that i'm toggling on and off using Layer Comps. I don't see any difference when switching Layer Comps within Extract in the browser. I do see the changes when turning on and off the folders though.. What's the deal with that?

Why does it take so long to render the PSD after I turn on a folder or switch layer comps? It takes about 30 seconds to re-render, which is crippling for our workflow.

This would be an amazing tool for our developers if these 3 issues were resolved.

Hello,

I just would like to report like many people I have issues to have the file sync feature working properly all the time.

Steps to reproduce:

1- on a Thinkpad Yoga, Windows 8.1, I create a new file in Illustrator named "Assessment 2.1.ai"

2- Adobe Cloud syncs the file to the web (it's a small file), I can view it on the web site of Adobe cloud.

3- Turn on my mac back from sleep mode (a very cleaned Yosemite version, almost fresh upgrade from previous MacOSX, all software up to date).

4- Adobe cloud app is already running, and it tells me that all the files are sync.

However I don't have the file in my Mac folder even after 30 minutes.

Resolving the problem:

5- I close adobe cloud (the cloud icon disappears from the top bar). I close illustrator.

6 - I run 'Adobe creative cloud' - somehow it doesn't seem to want to open - no icon on the top bar.

7- I check activity monitor, it seems a process like com.apple.geod (can't remember exactly the name except the geod part) is not responsive

8- I force quit this process

9- I run 'Creative cloud' - it seems I was triggering the wrong 'Adobe creative cloud' (I am using spotligh to launch all my apps).

10- Adobe cloud opens, the icon is displayed in top bar, and it starts syncing the files.

A notification is displayed and the files are synced. Yes!

I didn't do more testing, maybe it's the sleep mode, maybe something else. Anyway if the files seem to not sync, close adobe cloud, check for a not responsive process, force quit it, rerun the correct creative cloud app. The sync should work.

Cheers,

Jerome

Just a note to Adobe, when a customer sends you a detailed log file and tells you they have already tried certain steps from the forums, don't start at using Adobe 101.

Customer service insisted that I try deleting options.tix again. If I click on the little cloud icon at the top of the screen I see the yellow exclamation mark stating that some files failed to synch. If you click the Learn More button it takes you to a page showing the the cloud is working properly. Well what good is that when the cloud clearly isn't working properly.

I am so tired of the files not synching. Does anyone have any idea how to stop the conflicts and make it all work perfectly like it used to before CC14?

Thanks

deb

Creative Cloud File Sync Memory Leak

Hi. The latest update for the CC file sync uses up an insane amount of ram memory (up to 1G+) when file syncing. So much so that it keeps on freezing my computer or making it so slow to be unbearable. I always have to turn off CC now or I can't use my computer.

I may not have the newest computer but I have a Macbook Pro with 4G of RAM, not too bad either. The file sync should work quietly and unobtrusively in the background, like Dropbox and not hog all my memory no matter how many files I have to sync. It can probably be set so it only actively syncs a lot when it detects that the user is not using the computer.

Being a paying customer, I of course wish that CC could work splendidly well. Unfortunately, I still have to rely on Dropbox because of CC's undependability and massive memory problems. The CC programs are great but honestly, so far the file sync has given me nothing but frustration. Please catch up soon.

Please fix this asap so it can be usable. Thank you.

Creative Cloud Feature Request

When syncing files to Creative Cloud, I would like to have some kind of progress indicator, with an estimate of when the syncing will be complete. It is rather disconcerting to be syncing large files to the cloud, and not knowing how progress is going. Currently, the app just reports "syncing" with a spinning wheel. That is not enough information. Other cloud file services have this feature, so it shouldn't be a big deal for Adobe to add it.

Can you use Creative Cloud File sync (collab w/ team) in tandem with Dropbox for teams?

I've had no problem with the first computer syncing all our dropbox files to the Creative Cloud. I then shared all those folders with our design team, but they are now having crazy syncing issues with Dropbox and Creative Cloud. Creative Cloud often crashes, hangs with long sync times, or tries to make duplicate folders.

Is there any way to sync both?

I need the rest of the company to access that Dropbox folder, but I only need the creative team to use the Creative Cloud functionality. If I can't get it to work with both, we'll have to go with Dropbox only.
