How can I make a stitched border design like the one in the following picture? I've been looking on youtube for a tutorial, but I haven't found one. All I have seen are embroidery tutorials and custom brushes. I have searched the 'Blending Option' tab, played around with the textures, added a stroke and centered it. Is this simply a texture?   I assume that this might be something simple I am over looking.

If one has Paths for the shapes that need the »stitched« edged one can use »Stroke Path« to apply a Brush stroke based on them.

You could try a dotted stroke, something like this:

So below is a rounded rectangle with black fill and regular dark red stroke

I duplicated the layer set fill to zero then changed the stroke to grey and set it to centre

Finally in the options bar drop down I altered the stroke type to dash and altered the settings

Finally a drop shadow to soften it
