When I installed the latest version of Flash, I lost the ability to view You Tube videos for more than the first 3 or 4 seconds. Today I went to the adobe site thinking I needed a new flash player, and got this message:
Note:Flash Player does not support 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista. Flash Player 11 now includes support for Windows 7 64-bit.
Seriously? So I have to scrap my computer or get Windows 7 in order to use Flash?
I am not a techy, so I have resisted coming to the forums and getting a response I don't know what to do with. If you have an answer for this, I would really REALLY appreciate it if you can translate it into language for the lay person.
It isn't just You Tube videos, either. So many news and other items are now done in video instead of an article, and I am finding that I am not able to get information I am looking for because of this.
Please help!

What this means is the following: the 64-bit version of Flash Player will install fine on Vista 64-bit, but Adobe will not provide support if it does not work as expected.
In fact, Adobe will not provide any support for any Flash Player on any platform, except here in this forum.
I suggest that you

Yep, Im having the same issue on Vista. VERY annoying.
Flash will NOT install currently on Vista. I'm running updated versions of Vista and IE9.
I get that Vista is outdated, but I got this computer just 3-4 years ago.. so need a fix for the short-term.
Is there any work-around, to install Flash on Vista?
I've read some stuff on using 32-bit version of IE9, but haven't figured out how to do this.
Please help. Thanks!

Thanks, Carl.. but when I try to install using your link, I also get error for insufficient permissions.
Then when I click the installation problem help link, it give me the below:
Your OS: Windows Vista (64-bit)
In reading other forums, it sounds as though I need to install 32-bit internet explorer, but Im not sure how.
Thanks

The 64-bit update for I.E.9 also installs the 32-bit Internet Explorer.
