Installation Flash Player not working!

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest Flash Player several times in IE9 and each time it tells me that the installation is completed; however, each time I try to use it, I am told that it needs to be installed.  This has been most frustrating to me and I need to find out what might be wrong.  Flash Player does work for me using the Chrome browser; but, I need it to work with IE 9 as well.   I have studied various help suggestions as regards to this problem and so far, I have not found the proper answer  - - I am using Windows 7 64bit. Thanks for any assistance offered.

Hello Pat -

Many thanks for your assistance re my dilemma with Adobe's Flash Player.

As it turns out, it was in the "Manage Add-Ons" section where I found that

the Shockwave Flash Object was DISABLED. After enabling this, everything

seems to be back up and running just fine.
