Flash Player won't run. Windows 7, IE9, Firefox 16.01

Flash Player won't  run. Windows 7, IE9, Firefox 16.01. I use the flash player uninstaller, make sure there are no flash player sub-folders reinstall current version, says installed .. no "video" no box, no info. redone several times both in Firefox and IE

Did you install both the ActiveX (for Internet Explorer) and plugin (for Firefox)?  And both browsers show the same problem?

On Internet Explorer

• is Shockwave Flash object enabled (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/885448)?
• is ActiveX Filtering disabled (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968)?

Shockwave was not enabled.Works great now.
