flash player install times out at 47%

I tried before, and just retried. it says it is installed but still will

not play vids on facebook and youtube... any other suggestions?

Which browser you are using and how did you confirm that it is installed.

What happend when you try to access videos on youtube or facebook?

internet explorer, it said it was installed, I restarted my computer and

both facebook and youtube say that I need to download the latest version of

flash player to view... still.

The instructions are quite clear, even if you cannot see the video.  Where exactly do you encounter a problem?

This could happen if the installer cannot contact the tracker. But it display an error message in this regard. Sometimes this happens when the installation server is down and some services cannot be accessed. Try changing the browser you are using. Something else you can do is try to install it manually by downloading the software from the manufacture (Adobe).
